Shoot your shot man. I would say that leaving the company is even more of a reason to ask her out. If you were staying, office situations can sometimes get weird.

You should not ask if she wants to, you should get her excited about you, so that she wants to.

In other words, you need to talk to her, charm her, have a good seductive conversation, so that she is so in awe with you she is the one to ask you for your number even.

If you just ask “hey do you want a drink” you are not seducing her you are just tossing a coin, and making her decide without knowing you at all based only on your appearance.

You need to give her more than just your appearance to make a decision, she needs to feel your vice, see if you can con next quickly if there is some quick chemistry, for 5-10 mins and then you may tell her you want to take drinks with her if the vice is correct.

I personally think it's better to invite to a group hang out first. Just tell her you liked working with her and ask her if she d like to join you on a hang out with some friends, and get her numbers.

It's clear you haven't established a connection yet, imo going for a date straight away is to big a leap.
