Never be needy and chase rule #1

Game can be learned, but some guys are just born with it. Some will cope and deny it, but it’s just reality

Generally speaking, you have to be polarizing in some manner. Being a middle of the road dude doesn’t work

I think the other commenters are right here. This is a red flag for a relationship with this woman. First, workplace relationships are usually a terrible idea. You have no space from the person, even if things are going well. If things go wrong, it will make your workplace environment more tense and it will be distraction. The fact that you went out of your way to help her, she snapped and then iced you is a terrible sign. I would lock in and focus on your work, hook up or have a fling, don’t ge…

You did everything right. You were grounded, upfront, but weren’t butthurt. You held frame. Even if it changes your dynamic, so be it. Don’t grovel or try to win back her favor, proceed as usual.

Thanks for the compliment. I guess I should take the AI accusations as compliments as well, have never posted anything created by AI, even if some may not believe it.

If you read the edit that was in the post before your comment, I even mentioned that women have to be in the correct headspace before they want to enter a LTR, which directly applies to your explanation of why she wanted to “settle down”. You mentioned that most women want to settle into a stable relationship by default. I mentioned in the post that a guy demonstrating he can provide safety, resources, and potential for loyalty are factors. You don’t agree that those are some of the primary fact…
/r/seduction27/10/25 10:51 AM
-3

And you believe absolutely none of those factors played into her wanting to settle down?
/r/seduction26/10/25 10:31 PM

Are you in a relationship?

/r/seduction26/10/25 10:03 PM

Don’t fake it. Get the reps in, online date, cold approach, get in shape
/r/seduction26/10/25 09:39 PM
11

Really like bullet 3, and think that could be a topic unto itself, agree completely. You have to lead the energy dynamic in your interactions with women.
/r/seduction25/10/25 03:52 PM
1

The more you date and interact, you’ll find you will get better and see patterns. Keep putting yourself out there and enjoy the process Just don’t be attached to outcome, view it as a social experiment and enjoy your freedom Make sure your pictures are on point
/r/seduction22/10/25 08:45 PM

Get in shape, get good online dating photos, cold approach, be as social as possible. You’ll have more success have a well maintained physical appearance, keeping your social skills sharp, and maxing opportunity more than any course

100%. Unfortunately, that is a much more common archetype nowadays than what is covered in the post

Woman told me on a date that I was very masculine but kind. It stuck with me more as just being proud as a man than being desired
/r/seduction27/09/25 12:37 PM

/r/seduction31/07/25 09:58 PM

Some will say yes, but I think a core component of good game is a reflection of your internal state of mind. It’s hard to put out attractive energy if you’re down about yourself and your life
/r/seduction30/07/25 11:21 PM
1

I’m going to be transparent that this is my book, but it’s the reason I wrote it. The Foundation: A Blueprint for Becoming an Authentically Attractive Man by Michael Owen
/r/seduction30/07/25 03:53 PM
4

Yeah he’s definitely gone full self help guru and has distanced himself from it. I actually thought Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck read like a bad Millennial blog that didn’t age well. Models is definitely his best work imo
/r/seduction29/07/25 11:52 PM
22

I still think Models is the GOAT, but it is too idealistic for these times in dating, maybe not so much when it was published a decade+ ago. Most of it has held up though
/r/seduction29/07/25 06:35 PM
6

I’m going to be transparent, I’ve bulked a lot over the past year and half, but gained more fat than I’m comfortable with. Bear bulk is fun, but also is a bitch to slim down and make the gains worth it
/r/seduction29/07/25 02:42 AM
10

Yeah I think the women love dad bods is one of great lies of the Internet
/r/seduction29/07/25 12:51 AM
16

Upvoted. I don’t fully agree on the dad bod part. If two guys were equal in all other areas, one had a dad bod, other was trim and had lower bf, the slimmer guy would win out imo.

The light, playful ‘princess’ handhold on dates is S tier in terms of sparking attraction
/r/seduction24/07/25 02:08 PM

Another commenter mentioned this, but don’t try to impress her, look at her as your equal. Be yourself unapologetically. Trying to be something you’re not eventually backfires. Just don’t be too needy This concept applies when you’re on the actual date. The more you try to impress, the less success you’ll have

Thanks a lot for the compliment, glad you enjoyed it! If you are willing to leave a rating on Amazon it would help me greatly. I don’t think teasing works well when you try to have canned lines. Women are perceptive, they’ll know if you’re trying to tease just to get a reaction. I would start by using what the article mentions, have a playful or playfully exaggerated reaction to something she does or says. No need to make it a huge deal, just be self-amused and make it light and fun.

I had a friend who was like this. Sober he was very shy, reserved, would over think things. His drunk game was god tier. Flirtatious, charmingly obnoxious. It means you have this charm and capability within you, but when you’re sober you have some things mentally that are holding you back. Work on your Inner Game some, and also try to adopt the mindset of being more self amused and whimsical

I think there’s a lot at stake for them from a biological standpoint. Women have limited reproductive time, whether they overtly think of it or not. Committing to a man is a big investment for them, and they will evaluate their decision in detail

This is great advice that should be prioritized. Being detached from outcome, and treating seduction and dating as a fun social experiment will take you far in the early stages. Just be observant. Being in shape isn’t the answer to everything but it really opens so many doors. Your social skills have to be just as on point to hold attention.

Truth that many don’t want to hear
/r/seduction09/03/25 02:16 PM

At the end of the day, experience and being observant is the best teacher. You have to put yourself out there a lot—online, cold approach, be involved in social activities and groups. Seduction is just a subset of having highly tuned social skills and a positive self image. Also, be disciplined about being in shape.

So it sounds to me like your relationship doesn’t necessarily conflict with the post. It sounds like there are some elements to your personality and look that she considers of value, and she views you as being superior to her in some regards, even if she seems to hold more ‘value’ at surface level. There’s no way around it, if you’re dating multiple women, there’s an element of dishonesty at play. Never blatantly tell her you’re dating other women, or use it to make her jealous. Always portray a busy lifestyle, if she asks, then you can be a little playful say that you enjoy her company and aren’t actively looking
/r/seduction17/10/24 03:30 PM
6

I think if he was on a date, 1 on 1, if he constantly made jokes at his own expense, tried to be a clown constantly, it would wear thin quickly. Looks give you an open door immediately in environments like bars or clubs, but in terms of dates, I think the good looking clown bit would only have limited success. But I understand what you’re saying and agree to an extent. There’s more room for foolish behavior when a woman finds you attractive

Just don’t be too overt/thirsty about it. Subtle hand touch is powerful.
/r/seduction15/10/24 01:48 PM
43

Yep. This is the path. On dates, a light hug to greet. Sit close enough so that touch isn’t blatant, or weird. When joking or emphasizing a point, gently touch her arm of hand for emphasis. Do a playful ‘princess’ hand hold. Lightly hold her hands under yours. You can either just go for it, or ask about a piece of jewelry and if it has significance.
/r/seduction15/10/24 01:26 PM

Would recommend my book The Foundation: A Blueprint for Becoming an Authentically Attractive Man. I wrote it for the reasons you mentioned about Models. It contains more actionable advice to develop inner game, and it also covers cold approach and online dating in the final chapter.

The price will always rise when there’s an increase in demand. Men are willing to simp over even below average women nowadays, a lot of it is our own fault for not having standards and putting women on a pedestal. A lot of it is societal conditioning, but our standards are nil in the west.
/r/seduction13/10/24 08:03 PM

The this or that mentality is dumb. Use both.
/r/seduction12/10/24 03:32 PM

I’ll caveat by saying I wrote this book, but The Foundation: A Blueprint for Becoming and Authentically Attractive Man. I wrote it so it’s actionable, straight forward, and has exercises at the end. /r/seduction19/09/24 01:01 PM

On your last point, people will deny height isn’t a factor, but I think cold hard reality says otherwise. Shorter guys can definitely thrive, but height is an advantage. I’m stating the obvious, but it’s still denied for some reason

I definitely agree with that caveat, and that’s what I meant in what you said in the second paragraph. I meant you shouldn’t dedicate all of your social battery to just talking to women you’re attracted to. Good call out.

I believe that there truly are naturals out there, and sometimes it’s hard to define, but women are drawn to them. I think unattractive people have the capacity vastly improve and have more success in dating, but the naturals will always have an advantage. It’s the same with any facet of life. Some people just have it naturally, while others have to work much harder.

Excellent post. Essentially repeating what you wrote, but dating was far easier in my 30’s than my 20’s. Be in shape, have a developed sense of identity (easier said than done though), and have your shit together. It’s easier not to simp in your 30’s and 40’s due to life experience. Knowing what you’re doing online helps immensely.

This will get downvoted, but don’t neglect online dating. If a coach only focuses daygame/nightgame, you’re wasting your time. Majority of your dating opportunities will come from online dating, unless you have a high degree of status. Even the guys who are good at daygame won’t get as many pure number of dates as guys who have their online dating locked in. Boot camps seem like a waste of time and money. You can go out and learn through trial and error, experiencing rejection is part of the gam…

Verbatim from the post: You should be natural and be yourself, not put on a front, but this post is meant to serve as a warning to guys who feel that they need to go into overdrive when a woman acts cold. If you’re not in a leadership frame in your relationship or with whomever you are dating, it will make the woman feel unsafe. Feeling safe around a man and trusting him is the biggest priority for women. Being a leader doesn’t mean you’re controlling. It means you handle things, she trusts your decision-making. In this dynamic she can relax, and allow you to lead.

This is absolutely true. It’s a checklist mentality that guys fall into. They think that once they reach certain benchmarks, women SHOULD be automatically attracted to them. Nice Guys and socially avoidant guys buy into this. Attraction doesn’t work that way. You need to develop social skills and Inner Game as well.

My honest opinion is that social circle is the best for finding a relationship. Read about demographics in Mark Manson’s Models. Become involved in groups, activities, and social circles with women you want to meet, and become perceived as high value in that circle. It takes social skills and social momentum, but in my opinion will have much better results for the time invested. Not saying you shouldn’t daygame OR do online dating. Live in abundance and keep options open.
/r/seduction31/07/24 03:25 PM

Some of his advice from Models and elsewhere can be somewhat idealistic at times. Models is still the GOAT though. I think in general it’s good advice to not try force something that isn’t there. If she’s hot, it’s def understandable. But if you try to force something with someone who you find boring, or just has a shitty personality, it’s needy to try to force it because they’re hot and you want validation

This will likely get downvoted. American (esp white women) are terrified that women from different cultures and countries will displace them. It is socially unacceptable for them to attack other women, so they attack men who date women from cultures outside of the U.S. as being predatory. Disconnect from the idea that rejection just happens to you, and realize that these women are strangers. They have no bearing or impact in your life. The biggest players have been rejected, usually often. Attraction isn’t completely a numbers game, but it is a huge part of it. All guys get rejected.
/r/seduction22/07/24 01:40 PM

It’s more common than you think. You seem to have a good grasp of it. A lot of the initial traits that spike emotions in women, ie the novelty of being good looking and cocky fade, they lose interest. I don’t think it’s something you’re doing necessarily.

Definitely. I look back at the random girls I simped over and put on a pedestal in my early 20’s I’m astounded. A lot young guys get caught up in any semi attractive girl that will hang out with them because they don’t have the exposure yet. With life experience comes wisdom

The grand confession of feelings never works. Being incrementally flirtatious and playful works better. You were in a needy weak frame, after she rejected you. Been in a LTR coming up on 4 years. Before the relationship is even established, I think there needs to be a fundamental level of respect and a mutual feeling of ‘I’m lucky to be with this person.” I hate using the word lucky, and it’s not meant to be in a needy sense, but a fundamental feeling of what this person offers is better than what others have. There could a multitude of factors that this involves. Fundamentally, I think that having a compatible sense of humor and values is important. S…

Prioritizing your career isn’t necessarily your purpose. Your purpose is a skill or pursuit you believe you were almost “meant” to do. Usually it’s something you’re naturally drawn to, or have some natural talent doing. For me, my purpose is writing. I’ve always been drawn to it, I have a natural skill for it, although I’m always trying to improve. I feel like if everything I have was taken from me, if I had an outlet to write and be creative, I would still be fulfilled and happy.

As much as people shit on online dating, in terms of actual dates and hookups, it is just more efficient. I still believe in cold approach and think it should be a skill that’s developed, but most guys have a lot going on in their lives and don’t want/need to dedicate hours every week to cold approach

I really believe that the more you date for a relationship, the less likely it is to happen. Have a clear idea or list of what you’re looking for, continue dating, and things will develop when you least expect, or even when you’re not looking for it. That was my experience at least

I should have caveated by saying that scent is indeed subjective, and each scent interacts differently based on each individual’s skin. Added an edit up front about this. That being said, saying it’s utter rubbish that certain scents appeal to women is extreme my dude. These are generally very well received by women and people in general, just meant as a general guide. I’ve gotten this feedback in my relationship, in my dating experience, and it’s supported also heavily online. I never said thes…

I probably should have caveated by saying that someone should try the scent and determine how how it makes them feel, and if it fits their archetype, or what they’re trying to convey. Hard disagree of letting the marketing of a scent convey determine your choice. It’s all about how the scent makes you feel, how it interacts with your skin, not if the brand image aligns with that you want to convey. You really think an ad or marketing campaign will tell you what you need to know about a scent? I …

/r/seduction14/05/24 04:59 PM

I think a woman will only get turned off if she doesn’t like the particular scent. If she enjoys it, it’ll be a pleasant trigger for her, she’s likely to say oh I’ve smelled that before, what do you have on, not eeewww I’ve smelled that before you’re so unoriginal
/r/seduction14/05/24 04:41 PM
6

I still think you’re vastly overestimating most people’s familiarity with scent. I wouldn’t be able to recognize 1 million right off the bat. I think the idea that a cologne is ‘too common’ is mostly an idea on the internet
/r/seduction14/05/24 04:37 PM
2

at the end of the day, I think a guy should wear what makes him feel confident, whether it’s something unique or more niche, or something more mainstream. The vast majority of people don’t wear fragrance, the only one I’ve smelled consistently out in public that I’ve recognized is Sauvage. So even if a fragrance might be popular, the vast majority of people likely won’t smell something and think it’s overdone. Most people and women out there aren’t familiar with men’s fragrances

I date someone who is very type A and has a big personality. I will say that despite their type A personality, they’re still sensitive and want a man who will make them feel protected more than anything. They want someone that allows them to be able to shut off that persona. You have to demonstrate that you’re quick witted, and don’t get rattled easily. If they give you shit, you have to find it humorous and tease them back. Also demonstrate competence and leadership in other capacities

I think a few things are at play. Although a lot of PUA theories are outdated in my opinion, the fundamental concept behind peacocking is valid. Humans are drawn to novelty, just do a quick search on some studies and articles. Secondly, I think when you’re dressed in a ridiculous costume in the right social context, you’re subtly in a more relaxed state. There isn’t as much pressure to ‘impress’ women or try to look overtly attractive. You’re there to just have fun, and women can pick up on that…

Try the princess hand hold, compliment her on her jewelry or nails, or just be playful during the conversation. Touch isn’t enough, try also letting her know something about you that’s personal. You don’t need to unload your darkest secret or anything heavy, but start forming an emotional bond

I think cold approach is a skill guys should develop, the ability to see a woman you find attractive, walk up to her and talk to her without being nervous or creepy is a skill all men should have. That being said, I truly don’t believe that in terms of getting dates and hooking up, that cold approach provides as much opportunity. You have to admit, even if you’re good at cold approach, a majority don’t lead to a date. I’m older, but I think as guys mature, they simply don’t have time to dedicate…

I don’t think you’re being a hater, but I disagree to an extent. Yes, some women will automatically discount some shorter guys. But I think the height thing is vastly overplayed. A shorter guy with good high quality pictures will be on par with a 6’2 guy who has bathroom selfies, poorly lit or low quality photos. Being a certain height is definitely not a guarantee if your pictures suck. Not all women automatically worship guys who are 6’0 and above like some would have you believe
/r/seduction24/04/24 02:17 PM
2

Agree, it has to look natural to some degree. Your primary photo should be your ‘hot guy’ photo — well dressed, smiling, wearing nice clothes but if it looks too staged then agree it will set off some red flags, that’s why being natural should be discussed with the photographer

Very much agree with all of your points excellent. I’ll to post on this concept one day, but it’s difficult to convey. I call it leading the energy dynamic. That’s why women generally hate being around shy men who lack confidence. Your third and fourth bullets summarize this very well. However, I think it’s VERY important to have a clear idea of the type of ideal woman you want to settle down with and be very specific in your mind. Write it down even—wha…

There is a definite difference between dealing with 7’s and 8’s vs 9’s and 10’s in online dating. Although 7’s and 8’s still get tons of attention, the window to make an impression on 9’s and 10’s is much narrower. You have to be more polarizing or demonstrate high value very early with 9’s and 10’s, their attention is limited

Would also spread your net wider beyond Tinder. Hinge is easiest to get dates from, but there are more less attractive women, so you’ll have to spend a little more time finding women you’re interested in. My favorite app was Bumble, had the most attractive ‘relationship’ worthy women. Met my LTR on Bumble and had the best dates from there. My experience was that opportunity came in waves, one week was on fire with matches, a few weeks where it was relatively dead

An important thing to remember is women, even average ones, are absolutely flooded with options on Tinder and other apps. Flaking just doesn’t happen to you. That being said, you first need to maximize your profile. Make sure your pictures are all high quality, you’re demonstrating an attractive persona. If you’re not happy with your photos, spending a few hundred on a photographer is a good investment if you’re serious about having an active dating life. Secondly, be playful and flirtatious in …

Excellent write up on how small talk is absolutely necessary, it’s not just deep conversations and heavy topics. You give really good examples of how not to turn the date into an interview with an endless series of questions. I would say in general to stay away from depressing, emotional topics on the first several dates, esp exes. In my experience, bringing up exes can an excellent date sour. I really think that early on, they’ll associate you with negative feelings they have that come along wi…

You put wayyy too much focus on her. She was essentially a pen pal where you never even went on a date. She’s not testing you at all man, she’s not interested. You don’t have other options, so you’ve come overly fixated on her. Not judging, but when you don’t have other options, it’s what happens, you place your hopes on someone you barely know

I think you should be putting yourself out there and getting practice primarily through online dating, and then with daygame or nightgame. Read books in the meantime that you find interesting. Don’t wait until you finish books to begin. Books should just supplement
/r/seduction07/03/24 08:38 PM
2

I think there’s a lot of value in reading, gaining knowledge and improving. I wrote a book in the subject, so I obviously believe it’s worth the time. But I agree with the original comment that the best way to learn is by doing. Books won’t solve all your problems
/r/seduction07/03/24 08:25 PM

Exactly. Guys who give the advice to dump the apps are projecting and encouraging others to disregard a major source of opportunity.

Even beginners know that physical escalation is crucial in building attraction, lol not sure where this term ‘handsy negging’ term you’re coining came from. All of your responses provide literally NO actionable advice. You just say “I’m myself I don’t waste time”. That’s a millisecond of my life I’ll never get back.

“I do nothing.” That was groundbreaking advice, thank you. I already addressed balancing everything by being authentic in the blog post. So your counterargument is something I already said. lol touching someone’s hand is feeling them up in public? That’s a reach, wouldn’t you say? Friends ARE cool. But not when you have attraction to someone and want something more and are honest with intent. Thanks for grossly mischaracterizing the title for attention though. So, I’m curious how you specifically prefer to spark emotion on dates. Please no platitudes like, “through deep conversation” “being vulnerable” or “being genuinely interested in learning about her”

Hate this take. Why the this or that mentality? If you get good at OLD, you are passing up tons of opportunity that comes to you. Even if you are excellent with daygame, the truth is the majority of interactions don’t translate into actual dates, the success rate with ACTUAL DATES is superior with OLD if you know what you’re doing. Very high level here. Big thing before any of below is that you don’t get in your feelings about online dating. If you don’t have initial success, it doesn’t mean you’re unattractive. It just means you’re not selling yourself properly and need to make some minor adjustments. Remember, online dating is just a tool you use to get as many dating options as possible. It lives up to the hype in most cases. What’s impressive is that it was written over a decade ago and doesn’t feel outdated. Biggest criticism is that it’s a little idealistic for today’s dating market and it doesn’t cover much about daygame and nothing about online dating, which is understandable since it was released before online became more mainstream

This post isn’t an overview of night game, if that’s what you’re expecting. It offers an explanation to many guys—and there have been a lot of these posts—who are confused about when they meet a woman and from their perspective have good chemistry, but she blocks or is not responsive. Of course there are other factors at play, but you mean to tell me every number you’ve gotten at a club led to something or she was always responsive? You need to subtly physically escalate esp with light hand holding. Physical touch with the hands is powerful
/r/seduction05/03/24 03:45 PM

You don’t need to be so formal about the decision. Practice day game, talk to women you find attractive, but also just practice being generally social with everyone when out and about, you’ll develop a generally social vibe It doesn’t have to be a this or that mentality. If you want to maximize options, day game and use online dating to maximize opportunity.

I have a post coming out on this tomorrow since it’s been a common topic recently. Women are anchored to how they feel in the current moment, men are more future oriented. Looks are a huge factor, I’m not denying that. But there are tons of traditionally good looking guys who suck with women. It’s not a golden ticket
/r/seduction08/02/24 04:20 PM
-4

Sounds like an incel point of view. My initial comment got downvoted, but without fundamental social skills and some game, the impact of looks is very short lived. A socially calibrated, highly confident, yet average looking guy will typically beat out a good looking yet shy and awkward guy who acts nervous around women.
/r/seduction08/02/24 04:03 PM

I don’t believe in seasonality, but I def believe in momentum. Slow periods, followed by a little more activity, then you gain momentum where you’re flooded with options, and then it slows back down. Experienced this particularly with online dating.
/r/seduction07/02/24 06:49 PM
10

Only requirement you have is to not catch feelings and hook up. AND KEEP YOUR OTHER OPTIONS OPEN. She is not your girlfriend, you don’t owe her any type of loyalty If you feel like you can’t be the rebound without getting jealous or catching feelings, would bow out and distance. She’ll likely make that difficult because women on the rebound are used to attention and validation. She will for sure use you for that, and it will seem like she has actual feelings for you.
/r/seduction07/02/24 04:12 PM
7

Concur with others 100%. Your place. Make sure your place is clean, esp your bathroom. She will excuse yourself at some point and judge your cleanliness. Hard for her to want to get naked with you if your toilet has shit stains and your shower is moldy

This is my take as someone who’s a little bit older. Aside from the dating benefits, there is an advantage of building your own brand and identity online. If you find it toxic, just kind of ‘post and forget’. Social media is not great for mental health, but if you manage your own personal usage and kind of just let it take a background role in your life, it can have benefits. I just started building my public brand IG last year after being staunchly anti-social media for years. It will help you …

Definitely agree with most of these, particularly having her come to your place and breaking the touch barrier, esp with some sort of casual hand holding or touch. I’ve seen how that can alter the mood of a date in a positive direction from women who were neutral to a hookup Don’t necessarily think the 1 hour rule is critical, sometimes more than an hour is needed to build trust and rapport m. @tripledigitnomad and I are coming up with a course to address these type of problems soon. Basically, you need to spark more emotion in her. Try subtle (but not creepy) handholding, and acting less like a friend. You have to frame yourself as a romantic/sexual partner not a friend she has pleasant conversations with.
/r/seduction31/01/24 03:54 PM
7

Terrible take. You want to give an impression that other women desire you in your pictures and that you have a little bit of edge or a bad boy quality. You sound like a stiff 60 year old. What matters is your actual character. You can have an image of being a badboy or a fuckboy to gain some interest. But still have integrity in your personal life
/r/seduction31/01/24 01:24 PM

It’s very important. I think it factors in especially whether or not she wants to be in a relationship. I think even if she’s attracted to you, but not in a relationship frame of mind, she’ll still be more resistant to more long term dating Mark Manson covers this concept in Models briefly

Yes, 1000% yes in terms of anything beyond initial attraction. Shyness is an attraction killer on most women. Looks will get your foot the door, but will turn most women off immensely if a guy isn’t self assured

Concur. Parking lot is great spot. In my experience, going to for the kiss like sitting at a bar or at the table can have mixed results. It’s a high risk/high reward move. It can be a powerful way to escalate and can get her emotions highly engaged, or she can get very turned off
/r/seduction29/01/24 04:37 PM

So what? At the end of the day, getting dates is what matters. A guy can be decent at cold approach but still have shitty date game
/r/seduction29/01/24 03:14 PM

Reality is that you will have to improve on your weight to have true success. That’s just the truth.
/r/seduction29/01/24 12:33 PM

Still believe in cold approach as a general social skill and it gives you some freedom online doesn’t, but the truth is that having a good online profile is so much more effective. Guys get in their feelings and hate online dating, but it is by far the most effective way to get dates with some small adjustments and decent pictures

Any type of face to face customer service jobs. Bartender is ideal because it’s a high status from a social point of view in that context

I def agree with you. The tone is dumb, but some really good techniques and explanation of how the clitoris is connected to almost everything related to making a woman cum is very useful

I’m a firm believer in keeping your energy clean. It’s hard when a chick is throwing herself at you, but if you do, I wouldn’t catch feelings. She will do the same to you eventually. Guys let their ego take over, but you’re not special

This got downvoted, but it’s the absolute truth. People don’t want to hear that effort is needed to get results. Just want to either get bitter about online dating, or looking for a magic fix

The last point of putting yourself in a leadership position is crucial. Great call out. Also, if you expose yourself to public speaking frequently, even in a small capacity, like leading a weekly team meeting or doing toastmasters. As I get older, I’ve realized that doing difficult or uncomfortable things and rising to the occasion is the greatest source of confidence

I don’t disagree with a lot of what you’re saying, based on what she’s told me. I’m only hearing second hand, but it sounds like a lot of women are demanding or expect material things, I think that’s in every culture. Compared to the US though, the dating market sounds less skewed in the favor of women. Good insight because I’ve only heard secondhand from a woman’s perspective

A year or so ago, on this forum, I posted the virtues of Eastern European/Slavic women vs American women, and got absolutely slaughtered. American women get up in arms and throw around the passport bro term, but it’s sexual jealousy and fear. They can’t attack other women, so they attack men who prefer women who are better educated, more feminine, in better shape, and more intellectually independent (not the toxic American Boss Bitch TikTok bullshit). I always recommend to date women from foreig…

My LT girlfriend is Russian. She explained that essentially because of war and other societal factors, men hold the power in the dating world. Here in the US, great good looking guys simp for mediocre women. In Russia, it’s flipped. Beautiful women are in competition for Schleppy dudes.

You’re simply framing yourself as friend and being too nice, like they mentioned Too polite, playing not to lose, not being vulnerable and bold with who you are, not teasing/flirting not being sexual

Spot on. Unless you have a clearly defined sense of who you are, how you expect to be treated, and how you treat others, you will not have an anchor. As a result, you’ll constantly seek validation from others. Great post

I don’t disagree with you, but I think that pressure prevents you from having fun. You’re going to be more nervous, more hesitant and unnatural because you don’t want to lose something that’s potentially good. I think being pressure-free is the key to being fun. Good call out though

It’s fine for some people, not others. Not saying everyone should give it up across the board, but some might not consider caffeine as a source of anxiety because it’s socially acceptable, as you just demonstrated. People react to the things they ingest in different ways.
/r/seduction31/10/22 04:23 PM
11

Being socially anxious would hinder seduction, correct? The point of the post is to be mindful of some habits that may contribute to anxiety, but aren’t frequently considered. Not saying that alcohol or caffeine consumption contributes to social anxiety for everyone, but it might for some.
/r/seduction31/10/22 03:42 PM

So based on that logic, tobacco has been beneficial for society. So you think that consumption habits and health practices that were accepted hundreds of years ago apply today?

It’s great you’re trying to understand it and explain it to others but you limit a whole 30yr long relationship and family to just two factors when there’s so much more that goes into them. They’re complex people who have more than two needs and we only see surface level stuff they’re comfortable telling in interviews I agree that status is a factor for some people and different styles of leadership is too, but they don’t seem like the problems in that relationship from what I’ve seen

It didn’t matter he played football it mattered how he was then not doing his duties at home and I can tell you her asking him to retire from football would have been the very last resort. Yeah, when guys are younger, we buy into the myth that you’re a bad guy or manipulative when a woman sleeps with you, that the ideal is a “gentleman” that waits until a relationship. However, life teaches us otherwise. Sex is part of a bonding process, and a way to establish yourself as a sexual/romantic partner in the eyes, not a sexless platonic friend.
/r/seduction26/10/22 01:21 PM
12

I think it stems from shame about sex. When we’re younger, we buy into the idea that when a woman has sex with you, there’s an element of manipulation, or you’re ‘using’ her, which is completely idiotic. Life teaches you otherwise. Women want sex as much as men.

Experienced that in college. One day my AC went out and I messaged one of my female friends about it. She said, “Well come over and cool off and watch a movie with me.” We lied down in her bed, and watched like three movies in a row, she was almost squirming for me to make a move, but I didn’t do a damn thing. She told her roommates she actually wanted to have sex, but I didn’t make a move. I wound up developing a huge crush on her and was friend-zoned. Nice Guy 101 scenario.

You said it brilliantly in the second paragraph, in a way I haven’t seen before. I really think that’s why when women fall out of love with a man, they’re done, and it’s nearly impossible to get them to feel the same way. It’s like what’s happened with Tom Brady. No matter if you’re accomplished, and she was madly in love you previously. They lose love at the drop a hat once they’ve felt unsafe and insecure enough. Not saying it’s fair, but it’s reality. I believe men are the ones who are tied t…

No fucking clue why this is downvoted. There are people who are born without the ability to think or move on their own. There are people who have terminal illness. OP, it’s understandable that you’re frustrated, but you’re playing the role of the victim. Rejection happens to everyone. Focus on having fun. Exactly right—inexpensive, but fun dates in the beginning. You want to see if you can have fun with her anywhere, and that she enjoys being around you. If a girl is really into you, it doesn’t really matter what you do as long as she feels safe.

What gets me are the complaints about how hard it is to be an average guy. Then don’t be a fucking average guy. Just because we have modern conveniences doesn’t mean survival of the fittest doesn’t apply when it comes to finding someone. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. You don’t have to be “on” all the time, or “push through” if you’re not feeling it. You’re going to be more attractive when your mood is elevated and you’re putting out good energy.

I don’t think that’s the best avenue to demonstrate that you have dating options. They don’t want to be viewed as another in an endless line of hookups. They’ll usually bring up the subject in person. They’ll usually ask if you date a lot. Kind of give a playful, semi-evasive response. Don’t deny, but don’t blatantly tell her you date other women regularly. Most women are emotionally intuitive and will get the gist. Flaunting it on Instagram will work against you in my opinion

Cold approach is put on a pedestal in this sub. I believe in it, and think it helps contribute to being attractive, but in terms of efficiency, there is absolutely no way cold approach comes close to the amount of women you can meet through online dating and social media if you are effective. If you have some sort of clout, influence, or effectively portray an attractive lifestyle on Instagram or social media, that is like fishing with dynamite. I think guys have certain avenues where they are more naturally inclined to meet women successfully. For some guys, it’s utilizing social circle or activities. For others, it’s night game. For me, I had most of my success online and some during the day. Night game for me is weak, because I almost never go clubbing. I think all of the primary avenues (daygame, nightgame, online and social circle) should be considered and not necessarily discounted because you haven’t had success. I’m in a LTR, so…

In my experience, if a woman is really into a guy, she’ll find a way to see him, regardless of how busy or stressed she is. It sounds like you might be rationalizing because you want a certain outcome, instead of seeing reality for what it is. You didn’t go overboard previously, but you’re beginning to make yourself too available, and that is incredibly unattractive. You have a good plan of reaching out once things settle down, but why do you necessarily need to be the one who has to maintain a …

Honestly, are you getting any flirtatious vibes from her? Solely based on your description, it sounds like you two have a friendly, yet platonic vibe. I would hang back until you get settled there and maybe reach out, but focus on setting a date, not becoming her text penpal. Casually ask her out, don’t tell her you like her, or go into a diatribe about how you’re glad you reconnected, etc. Just ask her out on a date, you’ll have your answer based on her response. Agree with the other comments. The pettiness is a red flag, esp blaming it on alcohol, instead of taking ownership of the actions. The “free spirit” girls are sometimes alluring, but they often come with baggage. If you’re really into her, but are put off by her behavior, then tell her in a respectful, calm manner. Then, ask her about her show and listen. If you give her another shot, and she exhibits the same behavior, it’s time to bounce. My guess is that she’ll do it again soon.

It doesn’t mean anything if you have low self-esteem and sub par social skills. Don’t fall into the checklist mentality, where you think that just because you have things going on in your personal life that women will automatically find you attractive. You can still be incredibly boring if you’re too nice, too available, and don’t convey your enthusiasm for your lifestyle in an interesting manner. Pursue your interests for you.

Don’t attach emotion to someone unless they play a significant role in your life. Everyone else you encounter is a stranger that is removed from your life. In order to date the type of women you desire, you’ll encounter a lot of rejection along the way. That’s part of the deal. You’ll encounter women who will make you forget about this one, if you continue to put yourself out there.

Being in shape, well-groomed, and having style is more important than being naturally good looking. Even then, it’s not everything. You have to have solid social skills. If you’re physically attractive, but have a creepy or anxious vibe, you won’t have a lot of success. There are really good looking guys who have a boring, White Knight vibe, with no edge to their personality. While a good looking guy may have an easier time sparking initial interest, it doesn’t last long if he’s too nice.

Great point. There’s nothing wrong with vulnerability, but projecting romantic hopes on someone too early is a mistake. That’s what you think. Not saying to have a distrustful attitude, but guys always overestimate the bond with friends. Friendship is largely temporary. If there was a situation where you were in the way of something they really wanted, whether it’s money, advancement, a woman, or something to do with their family, they would pick the former over you. Again, it’s good you have close friends, but don’t idealize your friendships. They have their own interests they place above you, although they woul…

Never said all people are like this, I have a handful of close friends I trust. However, I never trust anyone 100%. Humans are inherently selfish. Sometimes if a guy thinks he’s the shit, and truly doesn’t care what others think, that will spark attraction with some women. There are a bunch of different factors, you’re thinking like a nice guy.

Unless you actually wind up in a relationship, that person should be considered a temporary presence in your life. Have fun and make dating about being a social experiment to improve your skills, not a search for a girlfriend. Don’t reach out with those type of messages if someone blocks you. You need to start respecting yourself more. If they don’t want you in their life, move on. Reaching out and wishing them the best is needy behavior.

I disagree with your views on sex and think it helps form a bond. Sex should be an objective. Don’t stress so much. Come up with a few options YOU think are fun. The more fun you have and more relaxed you are, the more fun she’ll have. You’re not there to impress her. You’re there to have fun and see if you like her as well. Chill out.

Number 9 is the best point. You have to have the view that you’re offering something to her the other guys can’t; you’re more unique, interesting, charming, have more to teach her. That state of mind helps tremendously. Basically believing that she’s lucky to be with you.

You are overthinking this way too much and are going to shoot yourself in the foot by putting too much pressure on this. You’re correct there. I know women sometimes play Russian roulette when rejecting a guy. Most will handle it correctly and move on, however some flip out or keep pushing. It’s unfortunate.
/r/seduction24/08/22 03:59 PM
11

I get it. Sometimes you just want to chill and be left alone. Some guys don’t take a hint or can’t handle a polite rejection. I personally would prefer a polite “no thank you” rather not responding. I still think it’s incredibly rude if someone initiates communication politely and the other doesn’t even acknowledge them. Most men can handle a polite rejection.
/r/seduction24/08/22 03:51 PM
32

It depends. If a guy is a creepy, pushy, rude, or she’s around her boyfriend, then a terse response is warranted. If a guy approaches her and is polite, not creepy, or excessively awkward, ignoring or saying something like “yeahhh, bye” is rude in my opinion. His cheetah print comment was a little cringe, but it seems like her response was a little arrogant

Don’t be thirsty or jealous, but still be a little flirtatious and employ some subtle touch—a hug to greet her, brushing of shoulder and slight touching of hand when joking around. Just have fun.

This is the one fundamental thing I’ve learned. If a woman is really into you, you will be a priority for her. She’ll reach out and make herself available, no matter how busy. These are the type of women you usually wind up dating or getting into a relationship with. The ones who are very interested in you off the bat, not the ones who forget about you, go silent, or are difficult to get a hold of. If you’re really into her, reach out one more time, but have a date in mind and ask her. Don’t sen…

If you have a problem with what she’s doing, you need to tell her in a calm, centered way. You shouldn’t hold back how you feel with anyone. Having the balls to start your boundaries is one of the most attractive qualities you can have. Just don’t lose your shit and act accusatory or jealous.

You’ll be surprised how many women in their 20’s will want to date you in your 30’s when you’re in shape, have your shit together, have a decent sense of fashion, and are well-groomed. Get some good pictures up on Bumble and Hinge, indicate some status and you’ll be good. Don’t discount dating older women (40+) as well. They have a poise and confidence about them that’s extremely attractive.

It’s better to be upfront and respectful to tell her you don’t want a relationship, than to trap yourself in a sympathy relationship because you feel shame. Sexual shame is powerful and will make you do things that you truly don’t want to do. That’s a Nice Guy mentality. It takes two to tango, my friend. She made the choice to have sex. There isn’t supposed to be an exchange of sex for a relationship. You didn’t perform some manipulation or trickery, you attracted her. Be upfront, tell her you e…

The answer is to not ask for a LDR at all. You’re acting needy. You’ve met this girl twice. You’re going to sacrifice all of the other opportunities you have for someone you barely know? She’s likely going to think you’re rushing way too much and get creeped out. It sounds like she simply wanted to have fun with a guy while she was traveling, nothing more. Just tell her to stay in touch and contact you whenever she’s in town again. Leave it at that. You have a scarcity mentality at the moment. K…

Just because a girl kisses you, it doesn’t mean she likes you. If a girl flirts with you, it doesn’t mean she likes you. Even if a girl has sex with you, it doesn’t mean she likes you Move on and stop being a Nice Guy. She wasn’t your girl to begin with, you don’t have rights to her. Easiest to get dates on Hinge imo. Tinder was a cesspool.

First, get your feelings squared away in your mind. Do you really ‘love’ her, or is she just an attractive female that’s been a presence in your life, and you don’t have other desirable options currently? You might be placing your romantic desires and fantasies on this woman because she’s been a consistent presence, and you can assign a face to your romantic hopes. Get into a mindset of abundance first. She isn’t yours”last shot” at love, she isn’t “the one”. You find her attractive and want to …

Men’s perception of vibe and women’s are different. Just because you make out and have a good time together doesn’t mean she likes you. For men, we’re much more stable in our attraction when we like a woman. Women are more fickle, unless they have a high level of emotional investment (ie view you as potential boyfriend) or are highly attracted to you. If a woman is into you, she will reach out. Women typically don’t play ‘hard to get’. If they are into a guy, they naturally want to be around him…

When I was writing this, that came to mind as well. It’s very difficult sometimes to not fall back into asking generic questions. In online dating, it’s best to ask a question specifically about one of her pictures or her prompts. So, if she has a picture of herself at the beach, say something like: “Pick one: go for walk, sit and do nothing with some music, or go surfing?” Maybe not a prime example offhand, but thinking of interesting ways to ask boring questions instead of: “what do you like t…

Exactly this. Don’t allow yourself to be a distraction or an amusement for someone else. You’re not required to follow him back. Just because someone flirts with you doesn’t mean they like you. I don't think having style is necessarily seen as gay. But if you're too clean cut, too meticulously put together, too groomed, it might be misconstrued. But if you have your own sense of style, it's what you prefer, and you're comfortable in your own skin (which it sounds like you are), that's all that matters ultimately. Only thing I would add is that you should keep in mind several specific moments in your life that you are proud of and make you unique A time when you overcame difficulty An accomplishment that you had to work for A particular compliment or time that you felt attractive An experience (or experiences) you have that most others don’t have. Something you can teach a woman

It’s an obscure 80’s movie called The Last American Virgin. It accurately depicts how an unattractive Nice Guy falls for a girl (she gets knocked up and dumped by his friend). He does everything for her, but she winds up back with the friend.

This sub seems to be obsessed with dating apps and rebelling against them because guys get sensitive about not seeing initial success. It’s a tool. That’s it. You use dating apps simply for practice social/dating skills and to hook up. It’s fickle, it’s shallow, that’s the nature of it. Embrace it, accept it, use it to your advantage. But instead of using it to your advantage as a passive means to meet women, guys would rather get in their feelings and just discount it because it makes them feel…

Can you show your profile pics so you can get some advice from the sub? Learn to make adjustments and thrive instead of just giving up and having a victim mentality. Online is the most efficient way to meet women by far. I advocate for meeting women out in the real world, but in terms of pure numbers, online dating is the most effective. Sometimes you just need to make some minor adjustments. There are a lot more unattractive women on it, but you can find attractive women on Hinge. It’s easier t…

Not saying their word, is gospel, but look at the other comments that are essentially saying the same thing. I would say the vast majority of men who have success with women would say that being shy/quiet will impede success with women

Yes, I’m an introvert but I’m outgoing. My girlfriend even says she thinks I’m an extrovert, but I know this isn’t the case. I used to use my introversion as an excuse to be shy, but my success with women didn’t improve until I rejected that limiting mindset. I’ve also simply observed in social circles and interactions with strangers that this is the case. Being shy is the biggest inhibitor to success with women. It’s not being short, bald, or even being fat. It’s being shy.
/r/seduction17/06/22 04:26 PM

Shyness is a social inhibition that stems from fear of rejection, it’s not a personality type. Being outgoing comes more naturally to some, but introversion and shyness aren’t one in the same. Introverts may need more recovery time and distance after social situations with large numbers of people, but you can be an outgoing introvert. Agree 100% with the other comments. Women typically don’t like shy guys. They’re seen as insecure or uninteresting. A guy has to be very physically attractive or h…

Concur with this and the other comment. Guys who are gregarious and social typically do the best with women. You have to be physically attractive or have demonstrated social to pull off the ‘silent’ type’ vibe. That’s why it’s important to never be shy. Shyness is a social inhibition that stems from fear of rejection, it’s not a personality type. Being an introvert doesn’t mean you have to be shy. Introverts might need more recovery time in social settings with large numbers of people, but it do…

Big facts on number 2, especially in the online dating realm. They usually get the problem “solved” when you respond with polite ambivalence without expressing interest in a make up date: “No problem, hope everything works out”

I remember I went on a date with a girl who claimed to be the biggest Star Wars fan on her profile. On our date, she said Darth Maul was from Empire Strikes back. I’m not a big Star Wars fan, I think it’s an overrated franchise, but I still knew he was from the first prequel. I told her this fact and she wouldn’t concede that she was incorrect

Haven’t been online in a while, but the common annoying themes I saw were: love of the Office, love of sarcasm (or claiming it was their second language 🙄), and how they love their dog and if their dog does like you it won’t work. Therapy won’t solve all your problems, but it is a tool that will help improve your life. Another commenter mentioned it, but getting in good shape, having a masculine physique or doing a contact martial art will be the most profound way to build up your confidence and allow you feel like you have ownership in your life. Hopefully you’ve also cut your parents out of your life if they were abusive. Cutting out toxic influences is another way to re-build your self esteem

Agree with everything you said. I also think trying to set up a date within 2-3 days within initially meeting, whether it’s in person or matching online. The longer you wait to meet, the more fickle she will get about actually meeting, unless she has a very high level of attraction, even then, the interest wanes as more time passes

Would recommend drinks over brunch to avoid friend vibes, but agree with phrasing it as a statement rather than a question. Also state a few places. (Place) or (place) are usually pretty low key (positive, relaxing descriptor)

Women are grounded to the present. That current guy is making her feel the emotions she wants to feel. The history with the other guy doesn’t mean anything to her at this point. Women are very grounded to the present moment. It doesn’t matter if she has years of history with a guy. If she doesn’t feel a certain way about him any more, she will shut off like a faucet towards him. If a woman is in love with a man, I generally think it takes her a long time to fall out of love, but once she does, i…

Why would you want to be with someone where you have to constantly monitor your behavior? Being needy is unattractive to anyone, so if you’re truly being needy you should be aware of that. This is the answer. Sparring should be taken seriously, not as a means to increase your manliness. It’s to give you practical experience with what you’ve been drilling. Getting hit in the head consistently, even if it’s not at full force, isn’t healthy. If you take a solid hook, even at 50% make you fuzzy in the head for a while. Take head trauma seriously, and don’t treat sparring as something you have to do twice a week to bolster your manliness. Approach it as means to improve your craft

You have a dominant, masculine look based on what you described. I definitely have gotten more attention with bigger arms and shoulders even with a slight gut, rather than when I was skinnier but had s flat stomach. I would say as long as you maintain your stomach and stay in decent shape, maintaining an overall V shape to your body with your broad shoulders is what matters in terms of physical attractiveness. Being 6’3 obviously helps with that look as well, there’s no secret there

Great point. I was going to add that to the post. Guys get hung up if a woman wants to use a vibrator to get off, and get bent out of shape because they feel their ducks aren’t good enough. It’s like they get jealous of a piece of plastic. A good portion of women (if not the majority) can only get off through external stimulation. Don’t let your ego get wrapped up in getting her off. First and foremost, get your place furnished and comfortable. Do it for you, not for women. It’s going to be hard to be seductive if you have chaotic energy in your life. Your personal living space is paramount. Put thought into it and don’t be cheap. If you’re going to splurge on anything, make this it. Buy some nice casual clothes that fit well. Maybe calling a woman beautiful in your first interaction is a little thirsty, but my opinion is that if it is authentic and you really wanted to express that to her, why not. I still think a little restraint is needed as well. Just chill on the compliments next time and treat her like a person, try to stop fetishizing her looks so much and treat her like a normal person. Easier said than done though Also, stop discounting yourself so much, ie you’re a dumb white guy who can’t pronounce Hispanic…

The second to last paragraph indicates that you over analyze things and still have some insecurities. She might have put on a shirt because it was more comfortable in the moment, not because you creeped her out. Calling her beautiful right off the bat was a little much, but it seemed like you meant it genuinely. If you see her next time and there’s a good vibe, take your shot. Just don’t be needy and creepy about it.

That’s the whole purpose of dating, getting to know someone. Social media isn’t reality. If she brings bad bitch energy, bring your big ball energy. Hopefully her energy matches what she’s been giving you in text and in person. A little bad bitch energy is attractive in my opinion. Don’t force it something that isn’t there. If you don’t like her attitude, you have the full ability to remove her from your life.

It’s actually more truthful if you end the friendship, if it’s done in a calm, respectful manner. It’s deceptive to pretend to be someone’s friend, when it’s really not what you want. It almost always ends badly because jealousy comes into play. Do it for yourself though, and not to hurt her back. If you’re trying just to reject her back, that’s weak Nice Guy behavior. Just simply tell her you don’t think it’s a good idea to be friends while you still have feelings. It would dishonest to pretend…

Don’t be needy. Have your own hobbies, careers, and life outside of the relationship. Make time for those, don’t just to spend all your time on the relationship. A successful relationship isn’t measured by how long it lasts. Just because a relationship doesn’t end in marriage, or lasts several years, doesn’t mean it wasn’t successful. If a relationship ends, it doesn’t mean it was necessarily something you did. Maybe they weren’t right for you either. Why try to draw out a relationship if they d…

Sorry, but calling bullshit on that. That interaction wasn’t intentional. It’s one thing to be unmotivated, and get rejected.
