Was discussing date game and effective ways to spark emotion with u/tripledigitnomad recently.

Although our methods differed slightly, we both agreed on the power of light hand holding and touch.

I’ve personally experienced how the tone of dates has shifted from women who were more neutral/standoffish to receptive and were eventual hookups, after casual, non creepy hand touch was initiated. There were other factors at play of course, but I believe it was one of the primary factors.

Don’t make excuses like complimenting her nails or jewelry. Just be casual about it, don’t make it a big deal. Some rapport needs to be established first, but light handholding or touching is probably one of the biggest actions you can take to spark emotions and build attraction.
