Here's the thing, the vast majority of guys simply wouldn't be able to pull off what you've done. Gaming affects them to the point where their social skills are so whack that they simply aren't able to pick up women. And video games are such a time suck that they aren't able to develop those skills. Kudos to you for having been able to achieve a fruitful dating life while also still gaming regularly.

Balance is key for sure. In my case, I just replaced video games with solo traveling which is why I don't play them anymore. A little gaming is fine for sure, but if it's your only hobby, it's not going to end well for you.

For me, it was a gradual quit. I picked up other hobbies and spent less time gaming as a result. My dating life got better and eventually I just stopped bothering with video games altogether.
