Really just depends on what the thing issue is. Something of low to medium importance: I'd argue it's actually better to disagree about this type of thing a lot, it keeps things interesting. Something of very high importance: well there are just some beliefs people of both genders hold important enough where disagreeing with them can be a relationship killer... I think Covid-related issues would be a big one, as are some political issues that veer more into the territory of human rights than politics.
