Dudes don’t know how to take good photos. At all. I was confused why my dating app luck was so bad compared to in real life. Then I got a (girl) friend to pick my photos and she even sent me one she had taken of me and my dating app luck completely changed.

That's sort of what I suspect too and I'm trying to figure that out as well.
That's why I was thinking photofeeler but I'm not getting reasonable output.
One thing I learned is a puppy instantly makes me twice as hot :-P
However, I'm also just mimicing photos on /r/LadyBoners and getting my ass kicked.

You have to realize that women arent visual that's why their porn is erotic novels.
Any pic rating app I ever used I was scoring 4 and 5 at best and dating models and strippers. If you look at highly rated pics long enough you'll realize they tell a story or evoke an emotion ( puppies) You can basically double whatever your rating is on straight up pics, promise you.
And ladyboners...lol...dude if there was a classy version for dudes it would still be full of random no name chicks that were hot. Ladyboners is full of high value dudes, rich, famous, talented etc. Some look no better than any guy you could meet at any random place....but of course it's not just the looks getting them, it's the story.

Yes. I think this is actually a really good point and I sort have already realized that but I need a way to "tell a story" which is somewhat hard right now due to winter/covid.
I've noticed that some of the pics where a guy is "hot" isn't just him standing there without a shirt, it's actually him, at a beach, with friends, holding a surfboard and he just HAPPENS to not have a shirt on.

Agreed... I think the reason that these pics work so well and are upvoted is that women ALREADY know the guy is hot because they have context and know who he is.
I don't because there's no context.
... so I just need to figure out how to get context and tell a story.

You're skipping a step. First you need to figure what kind of girls you want to attract.
Then you can figure out your story.
You could aim for whatever's trendy and try to cast a wide net but.... probably end up less successful.
What's her age?
Is she classically feminine?
Is she a hippie?
Is she a princess?
Wife material, party girl?
Who is she?

It works. It’s just that you are projecting your belief of what women should like in pictures onto the ratings you received . This is literally why the entire world of statistics exists. Get a 9+ photofeeler score and then tell me it doesn’t work

You can’t have this “I’m right and everyone else is wrong” attitude. Your photos are probably really bad. I’m legitimately average looking, a shorter brown guy, and I got 5-7 attractiveness on Photofeeler with the photos not even being great. Can you post them here?

Ok , I just decided to try out some myself and my run of the mill selfies are getting 7s without any age group constraints on voting.
Maybe since you were trying to imitate the ladyboners pics yours were simply coming off as contrived?
Did you check any of the notes?
And some looks are going to be highly polarizing to different age groups.... Depending on your look you may want to constrain that, just a thought.
Also bear in mind with the AI 5 is average and 3 is just below average. Where if we were doing our normal 0-10 style rating a 5 would not be average a 5 is like barely bangable. We'd call 6-7 average range.

I'm constraining age to < 30... if I don't constrain it I do better. It could be that I'm in my 40s though so maybe I should remove the constraint.

There ya go, I'm 38, I can raise my scores 1.5-2.5 points just by constraining to over 25.
