Been seeing her for a month or so. I was confirming plans and she tells me she has covid.

Seems pretty normal to me. Word on the street is, there's still a global pandemic going on. My initial thought after hearing this would be to express concern, wish her well and if I saw her in the past 7 days, get my butt to a testing center and lay low until I knew I was in the clear. This would be top of mind above all else, not whether someone I've been seeing for a month was lying to me because she flaked once.

Now if you have concrete signs she's been pulling away, or she's been repeatedly flaky, then I could get the paranoia. But if I know her to some extent and I trust her to some extent, this is what I'm going with. There's no point of bringing women into your life if you're always going to be paranoid that they're trying to pull a fast one on you. That says more about you than it does about them.

We haven't talked since, two days ago. I was going to let her initiate contact.

Fair enough. It's only been two days. She could reach out too.

Is it a bad idea to check on her? Would I be a clown if she really was lying and she just wanted to see other people?

If someone says they are sick, and she could be really sick, it is simply an act of kindess to check on them. A quick note to see how they are feeling will mean a lot to anyone, and they would remember it. Just do it to be a good person.

Honestly bro- yes you should say something. You can just make her think she’s a fuck rag after a month. Even if you’re not trying to be with her. Like everybody has Covid right now- I have Covid and most people are gonna have it by the end of the month.
