I don't think anecdotal info on tiktok constitutes universal truths.
Firstly, all people are animals by design, so my theory is if you can figure out what kind of animal that person is, then you can find out what sort of interactive level they prefer.
For instance, if a guy or lady likes golden retrievers, they will like a steady source of attention, texting frequently all the time, picking up where they left off, and continuing the conversation throughout the day. People who are golden retrievers will generally be popular and optimistic; they also need lots of attention and affection, positive reinforcement and don't like being alone for too long.
However, if a guy or lady is a siamese cat, then they will need to be treated like Royalty, given a lot of privacy and teased out to come out and play. With the siamese cat, they are agile, intelligent, purebred cats who have an aloof nature and when they want attention, they won't jump in your lap like golden retrievers, they will slyly hover around you and demanding you pay attention to them, while pretending to ignore you. They like when you intermittently text them, but check in at least once a day and write long and thoughtful text messages but don't like being available all the time, because they like to spend time in introspection.
Another example is if a guy or lady is an alabai shepard dog. Shepard dogs are workaholics, territorial and get jealous easily. They need lots of care, reassurance and attention, however, they generally tend to be quiet but very loud, alarmed and alert when they encounter people they don't know. They tend to be a bit cynical and need to be humored with lots of charm and wit. They feel best when they are in "protective" mode and protecting you because there is a side of them that needs to be needed. Because they may assume the worst when there are long lapses in between text messages, men and ladies of this type need lots of texting, joking around and reassurance that you haven't gone astray and met someone else.
Hence, like many different breeds of dogs and cats, people are similar. Once you figure out what kind of "animal" the person who has captured your attention is, then you can more easily figure out the attention level they prefer.

Not in my experience.
I never understood why guys say on here to act disinterested. In my experience, letting women know that you're into them makes them feel safe to express their desire for you.
This does not mean to declare your undying love for them on a first date or to worship the ground they walk on (I'm a Dom, so they worship me, lol). It does mean to be confident enough to show romantic interest.

Yeah proposing to a girl on the first date is definitely weird lol. But then why do so many women come on the internet and perpetuate the idea that they like guys that ignore them. I know it’s not all of them but it’s a lot.

I don't worry about what people say, just what they do.
Women sleep with me because I make it safe for them to express sexual desire.

I started thinking about your question a little bit more.
I'm a Dom in BDSM, and because of that I tend to see relationships through a D/s lens.
When a woman says she wants to be ignored by a man, it's not necessarily the case. In my experience, what she means is that she is a submissive, and because of that, she doesn't want to be worshiped. She wants be the one doing the worshiping.
One of my partners is a little and another is a service sub. I do give them attention and I'm honest with my feelings towards them. They know that they are loved and desired. I expect them to be honest with their feelings towards me as well. However, I also create space for them to fulfill their desire to please me.
Actually ignoring a woman or hiding your feelings when you have romantic intentions is a submissive move and it's why I've never had any success with women doing so. What does work for me is being honest about my feelings and, in the case of women who "like to be ignored" is to dominate them.
I've gone through and edited this a few times in the hopes that it will make sense to you. If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.

wait so why is ignoring a woman considered submissive?
[–]IGetBoredSometimes23 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If you're ignoring a woman in the hopes that she'll like you, you're hiding your feelings. That tells the woman, "I'm scared of you. Your rejection frightens me." It's giving the woman dominance over you. A submissive woman won't like that.

what if you’re ignoring her due to an abundance mindset. like “yeah if you like me that’s cool but if you don’t then that’s cool too because i have other options”

Then you're not coming from a place of submission. That's different than hiding your feelings.

Being too available/ giving attention freely kills attraction because it doesn’t give a ho time to fantasize about your whereabouts,
If she doesn’t like you in that way, she’ll happily get attention from you and move on when the attention stops and you won’t ever hit that, if she does like you then your attention holds more weight leading to your absence being felt more.
“treat her like dirt and you won’t get hurt, treat her like a queen and you shall get left on seen” -Hoodville

Tl;Dr never do this in the first stages of meeting someone.
Pulling your attention away is not something you want to do when first meeting a girl, especially if it's on a dating app. Girls on dating apps are bombarded with attention. If anything, you want to give them 150% of your attention to break through the noise of all the other dudes.
After the girl has clearly expressed interest and invested in you, going radio silent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday night and not texting her until next afternoon could be a strategy to make her wonder what's going on, but I typically don't pull away unless she deserves it.
If a girl is "not feeling well" and wants to reschedule a date, then she will definitely get put in time out for around 48 hours, especially if we have already been on a date or hooked up before.
