Not necessarily. This is more true when hooking up but with dating, I’ve seen dudes who are absolute 6’s pull 9’s consistently. My own friends are just as average as can be and their gf’s are 8’s.

Sure it matters for a couple minutes but not in the long run. Women don't really care about looks. Maybe on how you dress but not how you look. I've seen some ugly dudes with really beautiful girls. I keep hearing girls of how a guy is so attractive but they ain't interested in him. Tinder is also proof. Many guys who are good looking can't get chicks either. So if you think looks really matter then you are wrong. Society has all this theories on how attraction works but nothing was put into practice. I've also pulled chicks for night game. I'm about a 5 and slept with a 8 babe myself. So I learned with time that it's really not about looks.

Doesn't mean game doesn't exist of course. If she tihnks you are handsome but you can't string a sentence together or hold eye contact, you'll likely still get rejected

But conversely, if you're just not her type, no amount of negs or teases or dhv's or confident body langauge will help i'm afraid

i would say it matters only in cold approaches (while its situations are hard) but in warm and normal approaches no it's not that important at all. i see everyday very hot girls 8+ /10 with normal 6 /10 or below guys.
