I can't find it, you should send a PM instead. But we probably are

I have the same concern. My "friends" either have girlfriends they met on an app, or don't like (crazy) bars. I don't either, but I would go with others.

I'm 5'10" and lanky, so maybe the 1st example. Which is the problem because although I can get in the gym and build muscle, it'll take many years to get to something tangible. I'd have to imagine that even the way I am right now it can be possible

Do you really think he gives bad advice though? I think for cold approaching, he gives the best advice.

A match a week (or more likely a month) means nothing to me if I'm constantly swiping, getting left on read, etc. Whereas in person, I know my worth is much higher and I can talk to anyone I choose. It doesn't mean they're single, but at least I won't get left on read as I'm taking to them face to face.

I can't even get a date and these are the kind of questions on this sub Isn't this for r/sex?

I'm one of them I guess, yet I was raised in a stable 2 parent household. Don't know what I did wrong now at 26.

You ask a good question and haven't got good answers. I'm a virgin at 25 myself and struggle with this. For me, being sexual means jacking off.

This is why it's probably important to be doing something while you cold approach. Like playing guitar or walking your dog or flying a drone in the park. Or you have a basket full of groceries. But what do I know? I haven't made 1 direct approach yet.
/r/seduction07/07/22 11:46 PM

If I wait for choosing signals, I will be a 40 year old virgin rather than a 25 year old one. The time is now for me to act and quit bullshitting. I've been reading this sub for 5 years and have nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, there are dudes 10 years younger than me who get it consistently.

Well in my case, many of the options you mentioned are not applicable for me. Online dating apps have been a sick joke for me since mid-2020. No matter how many profiles I swipe or like, or send messages to, I will usually get ignored or treated as a secondary option. My goal is to be the primary option. Of course, my pictures could use work, but all of the stars need to align for me to create the BEST pictures (setting, lighting, outfits, clear skin, fresh haircut) that it would take several mo…

As a man I can confidently stare that dating apps almost never work for me. And I'm not ugly. But I am black, if that means anything. Maybe the message being sent to me is to cold approach, despite how inefficient it may be. Because the bar and the club is not my scene, and my social circle is nothing but dudes with significant others.

I live in this shithole called Buffalo, probably not too far from you. Let me tell you I know all of those African Lion Safari commercials. Maybe I'll use that as a date idea for girls I lose my virginity to, lol. But I am new to cold approaching and have heard going direct is more effective in breaking approach anxiety as opposed to indirect. I have never done direct, only indirect, and have never been able to transition to showing intent. Until I can bluntly show intent, I don't think I should…

Well not everyone is extroverted and living the dream. I work 8 hours a day and do the best I can trying to cobble together a social circle, while maintaining a following on Instagram of just under 200 followers. I last posted in April of last year. I don't see why I need to build a social media following to attract women when I can just talk to them on the street. I have a very nice apartment in the so-called "hipster" section of town. That is enough to pull women to my place, without dating ap…

Because there aren't too many who grew up in a similar culture/lifestyle that I've had. My sister is an exception. But they're out there, there just aren't many.

/r/seduction06/07/22 03:02 PM

Well if you're black like myself who grew up around all whites people, you have a difficult time finding black women who will be into you
/r/seduction06/07/22 03:03 AM
1

Well i think you're right. This girl in the grocery store I was in was cute, and she may have been attracted to me. I don't really know, but I never showed intent in my interaction with her. These kinds of things only happen once in a blue moon.

The irony of this is that I saw a police car behind me earlier here in the US, and I always assume it's a big burly guy with a mustache. No, this was a girl with sunglasses and the windows rolled down cruising down the expressway. I joked to myself that I should've ran a light or something to get pulled over and then ask for her number after I got my ticket.
/r/seduction04/07/22 03:27 AM
3

Yeah. The irony is that I was watching videos from a guy named A G Hayden on YouTube earlier, where he was talking about the game of Coach Kyle, and how he can elicit emotions out of the women he talks to. I am so new to socializing in this way, that i kind of have this barrier in my head where I can't show intent. I am very close to just going out and spam approaching, so I can get this irrational fear of rejection out of my head.
/r/seduction04/07/22 02:16 AM

Yeah and the issue is, I look too "nerdy" right now, so that combined with the drone gives off a stereotype of weakness, which I'm not trying to project. I will be in the gym at least a half hour starting this week. I've had glasses now for over 15 years. I wear the tortoiseshell ones. But as of this month, I will be trying contacts. My hair was a mess a lot of times. Now I get haircuts more frequently, which is a buzz fade. Of course, my social skills are not great and I tend to get nervous and…

Well gym, cooking because I have to, and sadly, reading and watching content about seduction... but I'm trying to get back to doing what I used to like doing like flying my drone/photography, eventually will learn guitar

I work from 1pm to 9:30pm. Not an ideal schedule for socializing, but the money is good. It's ideal for using dating apps, but I do the worst on these as well. In other words I am fucked.

Great tips, thank you.

I have a question to everyone. I work from 1pm to 9:30pm+ Monday though Friday. I am not a fan of bars and clubs. As we all know, most groups and events where you can "build rapport" take place after the typical workday ends, which is after 5pm during the week. So what other things can I do? Cold approach during the day?
/r/seduction03/07/22 04:27 PM

Well, I can PM the info to you. Would rather not post it with this account.

Yeah, I was at 160+ before I started working a second shift and then moved out of the house. No more home cooking or 3 meals a day all the time means that I have to adjust a lot of things. I've spent a ton of money on take out food in the last 2 months just to get a lot of calories in. But I'm now starting to shift to a meal prep strategy. The wardrobe, I try to follow the so-called "basic bastard" on r/MaleFashionAdvice , which works somewhat, but it can be hard to get things to fit right (I ha…

That sounds like me, but what's the solution? "Treat women like people?" I always have. I just walked around the park for an hour after getting a fade buzz cut. I didn't draw any attention from women I would be into, or at least I don't believe I did. To top it off, I have a brand new apartment, with a balcony, in a busy part of town. My friend (really the only one I have left locally) said to me that I have a prime location just for dating. I told a white lie and said that's not why I moved her…

Well we'd love to see it, please share what you have so we can all improve. I am lucky if I get a match a month, yet I've shared my pictures and have been told I have a lot of potential.
/r/seduction02/07/22 06:38 AM

It only works if you have a good profile. If you're not getting matches to begin with, it doesn't matter how good your prompt responses are being drunk.
/r/seduction01/07/22 09:04 PM

Exactly, I've been in my new apartment in the city center for 2 months now, and not 1 girl has sat on my couch.
/r/seduction30/06/22 11:57 AM

You have too much free time on your hands. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it.
/r/seduction30/06/22 03:56 AM
1

So you think it's immoral? Why?
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:38 PM
1

???
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:13 PM
1

Okay? And what's is your point? Why are we judging morality here? Everyone who meets their signigant other has to meet them somewhere, and talk to them. Maybe it was uncomfortable, maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was gradual or maybe it wasn't. Both you and I have a biological mother and father. Chances are they had to go through courtship, or perhaps it was done all in one night and they forgot about it (well she didn't). They had to meet each other one way or another, unless you're a test tube baby …
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:12 PM

How do you know that I don't? Even when I'm getting food in line at a restaurant and it's taking too long, me and another guy will notice and start a conversation off of that. It's not that unusual.
/r/seduction28/06/22 09:10 PM
1

Why not? I talk to everyone
/r/seduction28/06/22 04:32 PM

I'm the last person here that should brag. I don't have any tangible success. Stop trying to defend this guy who has no leg to stand on. THAT'S pathetic.
/r/seduction28/06/22 04:09 PM
1

I went to Toronto the other day and asked a young couple on the street for directions, yes I do.
/r/seduction28/06/22 02:31 PM
1

No, I view it as my attempts to make conversation in the grocery store. We have become isolated as a society and I'm not falling into that trap. I don't give a damn who I make uncomfortable. You are saying this as a way to cope with the fact that you would never have the balls to do it yourself. "Making conversation" is not illegal. Hell, outright telling a girl you think she's cute isn't even harassment or sexual harassment if you don't keep pushing the subject when you've been rejected. At lea…

You sound like the real incel here.
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:52 PM
2

No you answered all of my questions. I haven't really asked anyone out. That's about to change.
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:51 PM
1

Again, you are speaking with a defeatist mindset. Do you not hear yourself? Like the other guy said, you are the one who sits back and hopes that women will just fall on your lap. That used to be me. I've become proactive now and are seeking them out. "Don't talk to strangers" is a load of shit. "Don't make people uncomfortable" is silly. I walk through the grocery store multiple times a week to pick up stuff. I see average or even conventionally unattractive guys with hot women all the time, an…
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:48 PM

No you shouldn't be, because I'll be taking the women that you were too afraid to talk to. I've already started approaching this week.
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:43 PM
1

What he's saying is pretty simple... if you're in the store to do errands and you see someone worth talking to, what's to stop you from doing it? Cultural conditioning? GTFOH.
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:42 PM
-2

Now I'm going to do it more. Every time someone tells me what I shouldn't do, it's usually something I'd do very well at. And I suspect this is one of those times.
/r/seduction28/06/22 01:37 PM

Well for guys like myself (25, work from 1-9:30pm M-F among old married men, live in a neighborhood with a LOT of younger women), to me anyplace is fair game to cold approach. I have next to no dating experience because I was a pussy in high school and college. Now when I have a chance, I can't talk myself out of "taboo" environments. Hobbies and social outlets are few and far between, and are not always going to be a place where you'll meet your significant other. I've seen my friends do it, bu…

I was told direct is actually the best because you can get rejected faster and move on
/r/seduction28/06/22 05:56 AM
1

Well I wouldn't know either way. I just have to start cold approaching and stop mentally masturbating. I can't even think about sex if I'm not advertising myself the right way.
/r/seduction28/06/22 05:54 AM
1

Yes, good points. Your last two paragraphs are a bitter pill to swallow because it isn't as if guys and girls don't lose it to each other, I am just not in that lucky cohort. I mean, I pass for about 22-23, I look much younger than I am, but that does't mean anything. At this point I don't care what the circumstances are as long as the woman isn't a hooker or a walking Petri dish.
/r/seduction28/06/22 05:52 AM

Being a 25 year old 5'10" skinny black guy who has spent 95% of his life around nothing but white people, despite being raised by 2 black parents also messes with you. You are too black for white women and too white for black women. There's little wiggle room it seems.
/r/seduction27/06/22 06:36 PM

That's basically my profile!
/r/seduction27/06/22 04:37 PM

Toronto?
/r/seduction27/06/22 01:43 PM

Yes good guess, I made it obvious. Wow they banned it? I wasn't even paying attention, but it must've been a real problem if they went ahead and did that.
/r/seduction26/06/22 01:36 AM
1

Well I can understand that. I know my sister is 21 and would probably share your sentiments. To my knowledge she doesn't get approached constantly, if at all. And while I will not rate her, she is certainly not ugly.

Well when you get next to 0 matches on dating apps, you have a very small (almost nonexistent) social circle, and don't have any real social activities that don't involve alcohol, you are forced to have to do this. I lost all of my friends after high school and college. I work among old married guys. This is my reality. I don't know where you live, but social connections must be important in your country or region, because at least in the U.S., it's everyone for themselves. Edit: you appear to b…

As long as I can not be a virgin with someone I care to be with, then I don't care about how I get it. As long as I can experience it even once.

That's why I wonder how my parents were able to do it. I have never heard any stories of my dad going to bars and getting dates, or parties, or whatever. Because he met my mom when they were in their teen years. I'm 25 and haven't had a girlfriend yet. I turn 26 in less than 2 months. It's silly.

I'll definitely shoot a DM the next time I go up there. That place and the Eaton Centre are gold mines. Here in the US we have the Niagara Fashion Outlets and Walden Galleria but I am trying to restrain myself from approaching there right now.

Still, I feel like I'm invisible at times. I don't know why. This is no matter what city I'm in.

Yes and thank you. But I noticed, of the many dozens, if not hundreds of women I looked at today, maybe only 20% returned a look. Most were in their phones or something. Some looked at me, but this was a handful. Of course if I dress in a more provocative way, maybe this would get attention. I.e. wife beater.

Yeah I can definitely do that. Right now though I feel completely free and alive. Like I can do anything, because I know I'm 100% anonymous being away from home. Just walking down the street and through the malls is titillating

This is my new next door neighbor at my apartment, and this is what the "less you care" looks like. Meanwhile I would imagine in the amount of time from when I sent the last message (and she liked it with a tapback), 3 dudes have come over next door (that's a double entendre). Of course, I can send a message suggesting something to do this weekend. But I believe that would be being needy. https://i.imgur.com/oE65Fwx.jpg

Well I am a virgin at 25, but I have come to the conclusion that any girl who I will be with will not be and will likely have a high body count. And that's OK I guess. I'm not looking for anything serious anyways.
/r/seduction21/06/22 08:28 PM

Well again, as I've said in this thread, if you don't have anything to say to a girl you want to talk to, style/clothing is one of only a few options to fall back on. The whole "Hey I thought you were cute and wanted to meet you." Although I've never done this.

Well this has been an issue now for at least the last 5 years. I remember going to the mall with my parents when I was 19-20 and jealous because I saw groups of friends/couples/single girls and I can't talk to anyone, and I had like no friends myself. And this same issue persists today, even though I've put myself in an environment that would (in theory) give me the ability to meet many new people. In reality though, I live here, but have to commute to a place where I work for 8+ hours around so…

Why do I care? Because I feel the need and urge to approach every hot girl I see. Yes it sounds creepy, it sounds perverted. But imagine being 25, almost 26, always thinking you were ugly. Only 6 dates to my name, still a virgin and never had a girlfriend. Add to that social anxiety and ADHD. Then you get nowhere on dating apps. Of course I will feel a certain type of way when I see girls dressed in an attractive way. But I just have to recognize this and move on like a normal person. And I'm no…

I got Tinder Platinum last year. 90 matches and nothing to show for it but 1 awkward date with a girl who was 6 feet tall. You can read about it in my profile going back to around August.
/r/seduction20/06/22 07:05 AM

Well that's true, but I have no success on the apps so I have to use the only other method at my disposal. Otherwise I may as well remain celibate. Well, I already am but still.
/r/seduction20/06/22 07:03 AM

Yes I've heard of the ladder but don't know much about it. It's truly silly that I know all of this pickup stuff and terms that 99% of society has never heard of, yet I'm part of the probably 15% of guys at my age who are still virgins.
/r/seduction20/06/22 07:02 AM

I will take 1, but never 2. I have too much self respect to pay for something I can get for free. Otherwise, I would have done it a long time ago. And my therapist is aware of my dating problems. He suggests a "dating service" — which we know is nonexistent for the under 30/25 crowd.

/r/seduction20/06/22 06:04 AM

Well we can only speculate about why someone dresses the way they do, and to be quite honest, I usually don't have the time or energy to think about it. Only perverts make comments to random women about their bodies, so that's not something I have to think about either. Yes, commenting on an outfit is weird and taboo, but when you can't say anything else anyways and you aren't getting attention as a guy yourself, you need to use any excuse to start a conversation with a girl you find attractive.…
/r/seduction20/06/22 05:42 AM

I have the same questions too. And I'm not judging or mad. If you live in the US like I do, it's a free country and people deserve to wear what they want without criticism. I made this post to decipher the intentions of doing so. I dress the way I do because I want to look well and presentable, but I would be lying if I omitted the fact that it's to make myself more attractive to women. Spoiler alert: so far, I doubt it has.
/r/seduction20/06/22 04:44 AM
-39

Well I'm not being judgmental, but (in my opinion) there shouldn't be a double standard as to where women dress to get attention, but it is considered creepy and taboo to approach/compliment based off of what she is wearing. This does not apply to men as we aren't really judged on superficial physical attributes and women see no need to cold approach us for the most part. But if you're a guy like me who gets next to no attention through the "official" dating channels, like the apps, then cold ap…

No. My post is about girls wearing very few pieces of clothing when it's not even warm outside. I suspect it's to attract attention from guys, but It's not often that you think of girls wearing clothes like this outside of the bar or nightclub environments.
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:59 AM
1

No, but it's considered "socially taboo" when we have dating apps that don't work.
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:58 AM
4

What "phobias" are you referring to??? Yeah, maybe I'm afraid to approach but what does that have to do with this
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:47 AM
2

One of what?
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:29 AM
3

I don't know what that has to do with what I posted but OK. I just don't understand why me pointing this out could be considered "sexist", so I have to be careful with my words. It just doesn't make sense to me why women dress like this yet you're not allowed to cold approach and tell them they look hot.
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:11 AM
-6

So that's supposed to act as a green light my for guys to cold approach? Because by attention that's what I would imagine, other than gawks and stares. If I were to walk around in a wife beater it wouldn't look too good (I'm 5'10" 145lb)
/r/seduction20/06/22 02:08 AM
2

Well that's a good idea. The only problem I have right now is I work from 1pm-930pm+ M-F, when all of the social activities are happening. Which usually leaves my free time from 8am-12pm during the week and my weekends typically open.
/r/seduction19/06/22 04:40 PM
-3

Well the worst part is that I'll actually be at work and notice my pants are wet because of premature ejaculation just thinking about a girl who wanted to go on a date with me. That happened yesterday, and was incredibly uncomfortable. I need to figure out a way to reduce my testosterone.
/r/seduction18/06/22 08:10 AM
5

But that's the thing, I'm not dusty. I make $85k and have a luxury apartment. The girl that's into me (at least on the surface) is pretty good looking as well to me. Perhaps my problem on the apps is that I'm not pictured next to a private jet or next to a Brinks truck I cut open. Because I know for a fact that I'm above average, even though my pictures may not do a good job of capturing that. I can't figure out how to get better pictures either (and I have a Sony Alpha camera system).
/r/seduction18/06/22 08:08 AM
16

I get what you're saying. I live nearby 3 bars within a 5 minute walk. All I have to do is point to my apartment and tell the girls "I live there." Maybe that won't work, and maybe that's over the top. But something needs to change. It makes no sense that with how I look at 25, I get so much anxiety about dating and looking at girls I find attractive.
/r/seduction18/06/22 07:59 AM
1

Why dinner? She seems like she'd be more interested in getting drinks or coffee, or something that's Los pressure. For additional context, I went to follow her on social media and she clearly is a party girl, but she just moved here after graduating college and probably knows no one here. I'm not a party person, but I don't mind going out to a bar or something.
/r/seduction17/06/22 02:59 PM
1

Well that's a good analysis on things. I guess I'm just drawn to the lifestyle I'm living, but at the same time, I would be lying if I said that it wasn't to get girls at the same time. Now since you posted this, my next door neighbor who I only met once when she moved in a month ago saw me in the apartment parking lot. We had small talk, she just asked for my number, said we should hang out, etc. She seemed really into me. So I guess something I'm doing is working well. Now I don't know where t…

Well the enthusiasm is great and I would ask you for your advice, as I'm a 25 year old virgin who is 3 years out of college. I just moved to the city and have a luxury apartment near a college and a bunch of bars and some cafes. However, the caveat to this is that I commute to a place where I work the second shift with 2-3 older dudes and few others. I mean 50s/60s. But this is a large corporate headquarters, and the office area on the day shift is much busier. I am too new to be among these peo…

The comments here go completely against what I usually hear around here. Interesting. It's a coincidence too. This guy who works in a different department at my job but works with ours a lot will get in a conversation with me from time to time. I'd say he's in his mid 50s, and I've known him since I started working there in late September. At 25, I think I'm doing well for myself, I cleared all of my cystic acne away, I go to a barber who knows what the hell he's doing, I dress fairly well, and I just moved into a "luxury" apartment in the city. And I make over $85k if I work 5 hours of overtime a week. This is me being underemployed in my first job as well, and I have side hustles that I plan to get going soon. That's ridiculous. I may be a virgin at 25, but I've always been respectful to the many women I've met and became friends with over the years. Sadly, it has never gotten me anywhere. I only have 6 dates under my belt.

I like to fly drones and do drone photography/videography. Now there are lots of girls into photography, but let's face it: these are solo hobbies, especially with drones (unless you have a spotter). How will women be a "byproduct" of this? I feel like I'm expected to start a Fortune 500 company to date 1 girl. Granted, I'm not approaching in Target or Whole Foods yet, but with a lack of success (and motivation) on the apps, and the fact that I'm not getting younger, I'm willing to put my nuts o…

/r/seduction14/06/22 08:36 PM

My social life is somewhat nonexistent, I'm in a Snapchat group with a friend and his 14 other friends, which I was put in last year. I still barely know these people, and he's had bonfires with some of them, but they're all guys really and the girls are in LTRs. Be that as it may, I just moved into a nice apartment and will invite people over to watch movies or something soon. I'm near bars as well, for whatever that counts for.
/r/seduction13/06/22 04:52 AM
2

I gotta pushback on this one. Of course on the apps, the deck is stacked against average looking guys. But IRL, you at least have the ability to talk to girls who would never even see you on the app. A good friend of mine is not conventionally attractive at all, and he has even said as much himself. Yet his girlfriend is pretty good looking in my opinion. He would have never even matched with her on an app, I can guarantee you that.
/r/seduction12/06/22 07:11 AM
2

I hate it when that line gets thrown out left and right, gaslighting people and intentionally ignoring the fact that unless you're gay, a dude wouldn't just walk up to another dude and say he thought he was "cute". It takes a lot of courage to do that with a girl, something I haven't been able to do yet but am very close to being able to do.
/r/seduction09/06/22 01:42 PM

Also, I really wonder what I could have done differently in this scenario. What would you do if a girl sits about 3 feet away from you while waiting for food?

/r/seduction23/05/22 01:19 PM

Well I care because its the only match of the week. And people wonder why guys are so frustrated with dating. You quit the porn and get on the apps, nobody sees you. Then you return to it because of a lack of results. Thank god I live near a bunch of bars and cafes so I can do IRL game.
/r/seduction19/05/22 04:46 AM

I find that interesting as well, because my sister is 21 and I don't think she's unattractive, yet she doesn't really date anyone (lives at home), and I could never imagine hearing her say something like that. It could Be because she's slightly socially awkward, but it could also be that she doesn't trust everyone.

I guess I shouldn't ask for a blow-by-blow explanation of how you would carry on with the conversation. But given any reply I make could lead to her losing interest and her ghosting me, I would want to know what direction to go in.

Yes, I probably lean towards relationships myself. But I'm a 25 year old virgin who's only been on 6 dates. I have my own place now in the heart of the city, so I'm willing to take more risks and be bolder in my interactions. Still, because I'm a virgin, any escalation beyond a kiss will be extremely uncomfortable for me.

Well when you're a virgin at 25 myself it's hard to grapple with that. Does everyone have a past, as they say? Well not me. I haven't had any validation from girls, except friendly companionship and my first kiss in January. And I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I think I'm above average in looks, certainly not ugly. So I'm more inclined to date younger, 4-5 years, and not near my age. If I can't find a girl worthy (to me) of a relationship, which means raised in a 2-parent household like myself and is committed to long term relationships, I'll just go the rite of the physician. I've only been on 6 dates at my age of 25, and I feel time is running out to build any meaningful LTR. So I'm supposed to just sit at home jacking off all night, rather than go out at meet women and other people? Even if it's through innocuous random banter, based off of me noticing something g about her? I suspect that your preferred method of men meeting you is to go through the pre approved corrals of dating apps, like pigs in a slaughterhouse. Why would I do that, where you'll get 700 likes from a guy and he'll get close to none (if any), when he can go out on the street and at least show his…

The fact that there's no consensus on this means there's no right or wrong answer. Attraction is subjective. If Leonardo DiCaprio said "Hi" to a girl in the grocery store, what would the reaction be?

Yes, I live in the suburban neighborhood I grew up in with my parents, and of course I won't meet anyone there, let alone women. That all changes in the next week when I move out into a trendy, younger neighborhood where I will have proximity to the people and things I want to be around. I'll still be working a second shift, but my lifestyle will enable me to become more social.

I'm completely inexperienced as I said. I've only been on 6 dates at age 25. You probably have more experience than I do.

If I have options as well then my tune will change. Until then, I won't be comfortable dating sdineone who has me as a 3rd, 4th or 5th string option and she's the only person in dating. If she's only dating me and I'm only dating her, that's one thing. If I also have options, that's another, in case things don't work out. If she has a ton of options and I have only 1, that will create an issue with me.

I think it's directly tied together, as that's where I am now. But I feel like once I get my chronic cystic acne cleared, put on weight and muscle (5'10" 150lb), and get slightly better clothes and shoes, my self esteem will go up a little bit. It's also about practicing mindfulness though. That might be the key to everything.

Following the conversation for new comments. I know exactly what you're talking about. But it's funny because I HAVE a great job and have only been on 6 dates at age 25. Literally every guy at work I know is engaged (younger than me), married, dating around or divorced. I'm always asked who's new that I'm meeting. Well I used to ageee with you, but now I'm kind of back and forth. One of my coworkers is 3 years younger than me. All of my friends, I've congratulated them for whatever romantic conquests they've had over the years. I try to be humble. Nevertheless, I'm done feeling sorry for myself. So then I will use my sexual charisma in place. You have 15 year old boys boning girls in high school and I'm 25 and have seen nothing. At some point, something has to give. Which is why I decided to move into the college neighborhood. Even though I work second shift and have a 25 minute commute, it's better than being at home with mom and dad for another 2-3 years, right?

Why does everyone come on this frigging sub to brag? Here I am at 25, a virgin, sitting at home with my hard dick essentially in my hands. I am so glad that I will finally be moving out into an apartment in a couple weeks. But at what cost? Just for privacy and the ability to finally date? Unfortunately, I wasn't in a position to take advantage of the "late teens" phase you bring up. Thanks. That's the difficult part, rebuilding a social circle in my hometown via some kind of social activity. Many social outlets just skew older, which makes finding any kind of friend in my age group difficult. I work with older coworkers. I barely know anyone around my age anymore. It's funny because I wood like to use Meetup as there are interesting groups, but it's clear that at least in my area (Buffalo) they tend to attract old folks on the older end, and people in their 30s/40s on the younger end. I looked at Cleveland and their groups skew somewhat younger. Also, a lot of events look pretty empty, but maybe I'm just not looking into it right. Yes, and while I may not have been directly taught these kinds of things by my parents, I don't know if they would've been able to anyways (at least in regards to dating). They met as friends, in their teens, and lived in the city, only blocks apart. Where I was raised, it's a subdivision. And that's fine, but the circumstances are different. So they could never give dating advice (and I never asked because it's an uncomfortable topic and is especially so today). They know of no dates I've been …

You can partly blame the pandemic, but I would also blame the sausagefest polytechnic college I went to for my first 2 years, as well as living off campus the last 3 years of college. Really weird how only 3/10 women are single, if we use the 18-24 demographic for instance. If I had known this 6 years ago (I'm 25), I would have put more energy into dating in HS and college. Sometimes, like in my case, there's only one egg to put into the basket at a time. You say go to the park, what do I do there? Sit on a bench and approach girls like a scammer? Going to the bars, well most people go there to socialize or find someone to hook up with. That's not really what I want. So I'm left with only the store clerk, or cashier, or whatever.

I don't agree. The last person I went on dates with, I didn't feel like I had to pretend to be someone else for her to be attracted to me. Even as inexperienced with dating as I was. What kind of volunteering were you doing?
/r/seduction02/11/21 03:27 AM

Where did you look? What made you successful? I feel lonely and secluded, but places like bars and clubs don't interest me. I'm 25 and black, and work at an engineering company. My whole life has been surrounded by white people, which I don't mind, but because of my social anxiety, ADHD, and low self esteem, I was not willing to take a chance.
/r/seduction02/11/21 01:52 AM
1

I'm awaiting an answer on this as well as I'm essentially in the same demographic but I feel worse off because I've only had 4 lifetime dates and am a virgin. Perhaps this has something to do with it. Kindergarten through college has been almost entirely white.
/r/seduction02/11/21 01:36 AM

I'm 25 and have never kissed a girl. I'm not ugly either. But I have ADHD and social anxiety.

Pay for what?
/r/seduction16/10/21 12:19 AM

I barely got incoming likes. Maybe a handful. 99% of my activity was outgoing, unless I switched locations on the map. Even then there were only a small handful (2-3 likes). And most of the women were attractive to me incoming and outgoing!
/r/seduction13/10/21 11:21 PM
4

Is that really the BEST way? I go on there, pay $50, upload halfway decent pictures and add a bio and interest, and of 5,000+ swipes, 1% are a match, and that's really the end of it. Dead interactions with uninterested girls. That doesn't sound very effective to me.
/r/seduction13/10/21 02:46 AM
16

In my case, if I'm not paying, I don't get matches. When I pay for platinum, I get 1-3 matches per day if I swipe on 100-200 girls. Better than nothing, and I'm not overweight or ugly necessarily. Just not hot.
/r/seduction12/10/21 10:28 PM

I used to believe this, but after seeing my lanky friend who has an acne riddled face and a fucked up shoulder with thick glasses get a girl who is probably out of his league, my opinion on this changed.
/r/seduction09/10/21 07:03 PM
1

And how do you do that. I have never sexually escalated with a girl. The one time I grabbed a girls hand on a date, she was not impressed. And I'm not ugly.
/r/seduction04/10/21 02:42 AM
2

I know it's a bit off topic, but what do you do if you are about to start a job in a male dominated engineering facility? What if you don't have any female friends in the area? What if you don't go to the bars and clubs, but dating apps have failed?
/r/seduction26/09/21 05:33 AM

25 Lack of opportunities, I have to pay for Tinder Platinum and Hinge Premium where for every 90 matches I get 1 date out of it that leads nowhere. Also maybe a lack of confidence and trying I have been described as a nerdy black guy I have ADHD, but I'm not ugly. I go to the gym 3 days a week I also live with my parents right now, I just got a new job that pays $60k a year. But I don't have enough saved to move out yet. I don't like the nightclubs here, I'm indifferent about dating at bars

If I knew that there was a pool of eligible single ladies in my age demographic that I can ask out on a date, I probably wouldn't be as concerned or confused about it. I was so reticent when it came to dating in high school and college, because I was told it would "just happen" that I got screwed up in the head and now really don't know anyone to date in person, offline. Of course, in the suburban neighborhood I live in there are lots of cougars and single moms, but I'm not into that.
/r/seduction18/09/21 10:56 PM

Well unfortunately I spend so much time worrying about dating and other things that I don't even have the time to pursue hobbies. Instead of reading interesting books, it'll be self help stuff. Instead of practicing my photography skills, I'm browsing /r/Seduction on Reddit. Instead of learning how to play the guitar, I'm doing other things. Now that I have a job though, I might be able to focus on what I'd like to do in the spare time that I have.

I actually live near Toronto. 1 1/2 hours away across the border. Yes, I was born and raised in a rinky dink rust belt city. I just accepted a 1 year job offer at a manufacturer in the suburbs, and am trying to figure out how I can date at age 25. I would imagine daygame here is extremely difficult, but not impossible. I've never tried it.

The problem with the girls dating friends approach is that ultimately a lot of guys do not have friends that are girls, or many of them. And the ones they do have, well if they're friends, more likely than not they're in the friend zone anyways. I'm 25. In my situation, which I made a post on another sub about, I am about to enter a workplace with 85% guys and 15% girls. A manufacturing facility. I was offered over $60k, and the position does align with my career goals, but sometimes I wish I ha…

I like hiking and other outdoors things. I am also into photography and have a drone and mirrorless camera. Eventually I want to learn how to play the guitar. I also rowed in college. The bars also have party chicks, I don't know if that's what I want. Apps are similar.

I'm in your exact same shoes and I am facing a wall of sausages in the future. The job I start in 2 weeks pays well but is a sausage fest. I'm also 25 and black, but I try not to see race as a hindrance. I live with mom and dad. It couldn't get any worse.

I just got a job offer for $62k after making $0 for 13 months at age 25. I've only had 4 lifetime dates and I'm a virgin. I'm not bad looking, but could use some improvement. But the place I'm going to work at is 85% male. Am I doomed again, or will I be spending time at bars and clubs?
/r/seduction17/09/21 08:29 AM

I thought going to an $80 music festival would be too high investment for a first date. So I backed away from that for the time being and suggested a walk in the park. My issue right now is that my self esteem is at rock bottom. I am insecure about my weight (I'm 5'10", 150 lb and skinny), skin acne (which has improved but still showing blemishes), posture, haircut and personality. So if I go on a date all of this will be on full display. I'm actively trying to improve all of these things. But e…

The appetizer idea was someone else's. I took it and here we are. But it got me the number. I really have to refine my game some more. I've watched hours of videos and more content, but often times opening a conversation and setting the pace can be extremely difficult because you're not guaranteed a reply from an opener. So you go for stuff that is clickbait-y.
/r/seduction11/08/21 12:15 AM

It's funny you mention all of this because my goal has been to avoid giving validation. Unfortunately, a lot of girls don't respond to pickup lines, and they definitely don't respond to "Hi". When you say qualify, I keep hearing this, but I don't know how to implement it. Also, it's weird because in the past I've engaged in back and forth banter, but 99% of my matches that involved bantering went to me being left on read. 1) she's currently 400 miles away and I don't know if she's local or not, but she matched when she was in my area. I have to find that out first among other things. She could be a single mom for all I know, or in an open relationship. Two things I'm not looking for at 25. 2) even if I were to meet for a drink, how the hell do I transition from "Hey" to a date?
/r/seduction10/08/21 01:58 PM
3

Unless you're sexy, "Hi" will not allow you to stand out from the 70 other matches per day a girl gets. I feel I'm a 10/10, but my value is what the girl determines it to be. So she probably views you as an 8-10.

I think you have a point. High value women would be much more forgiving of my conversations in public. Any good friend that I've had as a girl, she was not turned off by my conversations with her when we first met. She may not have been interested in me for anything more than friends, but she didn't just walk away like the girls on the apps. I can try your method as well. The one I used is from a channel called Playing with Fire. That's just my communication style, the texts were all within a minute. However when viewed like this you would think they were separate. Usually it's so I can separate my thoughts out, although I guess that's not how it's viewed on the receiving end. I guess I have to change that 🤷🏾‍♂️ Either way, the margin for error on these apps is super thin and I think I'd have better luck just walking up to a girl at the grocery store who may be forgiving of my social issues.

For every person who says don't do this, you'll find someone who says do it. It's all subjective. I was just listening to a course from someone who said say just that. But AMS says don't validate. But if you don't say it, the intent is missing.

I meant that I had 3 dates in my life before meeting this girl. I know about the car thing but I don't know where to go for that. Hey, maybe you can help me. It looks like I have a date coming up with a girl who if "shy" were a poster child, it would probably be her. You're lucky I'm a polite guy, because that was a pretty arrogant comment. I'm none of what you described, and you don't have to be a rapper to be a US black guy. I'm guessing you're from Eastern Europe where you see stereotypes of black people eating fried chicken and playing basketball all day.

This is Buffalo, New York on a Tuesday. I saw no more than maybe 10 women at least 5 or above. The rest were unattractive (weight) to me, or were doing something where they didn't want to be bothered (I.e. running, etc.) Maybe things will be better this weekend (there's an air show) but I am still ready to move out of the area.
