I'm a 24M with only 3 dates In my life and no girlfriend. I'm also jobless right now, but I do have a useful degree and am applying to jobs.
Meanwhile, I've been living at home with my parents and was basically under house arrest for the whole year. It was a great way to save money, and the pandemic was obviously the reason why, but now I just feel like I have to step out on the street so-to-speak and just put myself out there.
I like taking pictures (I have a mirrorless camera), so that's what I did today. Just get landscapes and stuff. I might put together a portfolio, or I might just keep them in my personal collection.
Anyways the main park in my city (the city has 250k people and the metro 1M) was moderately busy for a weekday. But I couldn't help but notice the demographic: young couples, guys jogging around the lake, and women also exercising. I can't help but wonder what it would be like if I just talked to some of these women.
As I was getting ready to leave, a nice looking woman who looked to be in her late 20s/early 30s was carrying her kid out of the park and saw me taking a picture. She said she didn't want to ruin my shot and then just asked basic questions about what I do, usual chit chat. Since I've been browsing and posting to this sub for 4 years, all of the shit that is posted on here came full circle at that moment, even though I had no intention of asking for a date (obviously).
No woman in my age bracket of 18-24 have ever came up to me and asked what I'm doing. It's like I'm invisible to people younger than me. But women older than me don't seem to mind for whatever reason.
I'm glad I got out of the house and had that social interaction. I just wish I can get out and find that special connection for once in my life.
