Authenticity is attractive, whether that’s enthusiasm or chillin. If someone told you a boring story and you were overly enthusiastic, then yes that’s beta

I’d call it attentive listening, allowing yourself to be taken with cool stories as if along for a ride, we pay attention whenever actually interested. Acting cold doesn’t make you cool, imo. Why not be excited, happy, or even scared for others? Maybe not for everyone but I don’t think it’s beta to act enthusiastic if it is genuine!

Sit on the street at an outdoor cafe or some shit and people watch. The alpha in a group is easy to spot and he is usually a bit more laid back and less energetic. Don’t be the court jester.

I wouldn’t worry about appearing beta, but just the way you wrote that sounds like something either a girl would say or a gay guy. You definitely want to be into a conversation, but choose your wording carefully. From my experience, girls definitely find over enthusiasm unattractive. Maybe watch some Chuck Norris movies to see how it’s done 😎
