Been interacting with this girl who does 2 of my subjects for a while now, the conversation is always surface level, ie talking about the work or projects/assignments. I’m thinking of asking her “Do you wanna hang out sometime? I feel like our interactions are very surface level” it’s what I’m thinking and I stand by it.

Any advice on why it could be wrong/anything better to say? And when should I ask her don’t want it to seem out of the blue
