Nah, 100% wants to smash or at least tease, but if that’s the motive, there’s for sure an underlying attraction. The ball is in your court dude, there really is no way this works out well unless you maintain a strict boundary. Nothing wrong with smiling back and acknowledging in the moment, but unless you are willing to accept the high probability that everyone involved can get seriously emotionally hurt, don’t let it go beyond that.
Take it as a compliment and move on.
Definitely don’t tell your gf.

You're drowning in a glass of water, it was just a silly look in a hot tub where it's obvious people are going to be light of clothes. Just don't pay it much attention and focus on the great relationship you have with your GF and her BFF.

You didn't do anything wrong, so there's nothing you could possibly do to ruin her friendship. If anything goes sideways for them, it's because her friend crossed a boundary. That's the friend's fault and the friend's problem.

I don’t want to tell my girlfriend for several reasons. The main reason is that it wasn’t that big of a deal, it’s not like my girlfriend was passed out and she stripped naked and started touching my crotch and kissing my neck. They are also VERY close friends, and my girlfriend struggles with depression/anxiety. If I tell her what happened they will probably get into a huge fight and their friendship will be over. Her depression and anxiety is finally just now starting to go away and I don’t want to make it worse for her. The three of us are also super close. We go out together almost every weekend and we always have a blast. I don’t want to lose our little group circle.
