I went to college and grad school somewhere far away. I was certainly not "the man", but picking up and meeting girls was relatively easy. In college I was a d1 athlete and I went to an ivy grad school. I mention those things cos they really contributed to my confidence/social proof back then. They also provided me with social circles. Met a girl in grad school, moved to my old city/country together - you know where this shitstorm is going. She broke my heart last year, destroyed it, made me question my entire existence.

So 6 months later, still feel like shit but recovering and determined to to be the best I can be. I can't go on feeling broken.

Here I am in my old city feeling a bit depressed and low. I need some social proof, need to develop my inner game. Any advice? I have gone to a few meetups and made some guy friends. Problem is they are slightly odd. They are nice people but they're generally outcasts. I know I sound like a complete dick but hanging out with them is regressing my game if anything. How do I develop a good social circle again? Frankly, I feel so beta. I look at my past achievements and I can't identify with them. I feel like I am at square fucking one.

Any advice would be good. Give me tough love, give me anything. Thank you.
