Are there any DJs on this subreddit that have successfully picked up girls while DJing?

 

TLDR: What do you do to leverage being a DJ to get laid more? What are you're best tips? Also what if you are mobile (bring own speakers) how do you manage the time/logistics to not ruin mood/state of girl(s)?

 

Ive noticed over time that in some ways DJing makes it harder to pickup girls (you have access in that they come up to you and you are surrounded to an extent, but you also are busy working and most of your time is making decisions and using your technical skills). I have considered making some 2-3 song mixes so I don't have to mix every single one, only potential problem is I still have to read the crowd, I can't just force pop if they want hip hop, or vice versa.

NOTE: The venue I work at every saturday, I have to bring my own equipment/speakers (meaning it takes some time to take down at the end of the night). I imagine if I got a girl to help me unplug it might ruin the mood somewhat? The best would be if I had a wing who had access to my pad, take the girls back while I spend the 15 minutes (or whatever it is) tearing down. This is my logistical challenge. Any tips here?

 

My experience says: Don't give anything away, make it a little bit of a (playful) challenge. Whether thats a song request, entering the booth, etc. On the flip side, I also want to focus somewhat on promoting the venue I have residency at to bring in more people, so I may end up offerring some "free" shit like letting girls skip the line, free shots.

 

Searches I've done say: Don't assume that just because you're the DJ that it automatically gets you laid. It just gets you opened and gets you some social proof.

 

I've read of a number of DJs who say it doesn't help them. However there are always still some who pull tons. Even funny creature looking guys that pull (although some of them are toting cocaine, which I don't want to get involved in. Alcohol is fine, weed is ok, cocaine no thanks). Btw, I do follow PUA material so I am aware of attraction spikes, dhv, shit tests, etc. So what are the successful ones doing?
