I don't think they really care as long as they enjoy being around you. You shouldn't even be using formula's routines or techniques. Natural game is a better option nowadays. Inner game is becoming more popular in the PUA community.

Women put up with boring needy people all the time. If a guy is being himself and it engages her or invokes her emotions or sense of adventure... they won't care how he learned it.

The answer to this question is a complicated one, and requires a knowledge of the history of PUA.

First of all, let me start by saying this: if a girl figures out that you're "gaming" her, you're dead. Period. Everything you do has to be natural and real. If she can tell you're reading off a script or you're taking time to call her because of some book you read, forget it.

That said, when PUA first came out, it mostly focused on "outer game" - i.e., phrases and routines to use on girls. The thing is, there are a lot of different routines, openers, etc... you can use on a girl, so very few girls figured out all the different approaches, but they did figure out that there are a class of guys that are trying these methods out to fuck them. Some of the grosser things PUAs do became known (i.e., negging) so they lost their effectiveness in front of girls who know what it was.

But lately, the PUA community has shifted more towards "inner game." Inner game is about actually improving yourself, building confidence, cultivating the right mentality, setting boundaries, etc... Basically, transforming yourself into a real version of what the outer game guys were pretending to be.

With inner game, its harder for a girl to tell you are gaming her. You actually are confident.

PUA is an acronym for pick up artist. It is fine if you begin by using canned lines but we need to evolve also. A true Artist does not get paid if they keep on producing the same work over and over again. They make new pieces

I have developed my own style to fit around my life. I test things out and make errors. I find things that work great and than I modify them more and make tweaks. I have never been accused of using a canned line even though I have read about 20 books on pua.

Tips I will suggest is to read!!! But not just pua stuff everything! You don't need to read entire books but read their summaries. Skim them. Make your own negs and make your own openers.

Another thing women have been using material longer than males. Pick up 17 magazine and read a few articles. I picked up one and I was shocked when I found eye accessing cues in it and how to build rapport with guys. Of course they were not the same terms as we used. Some cheesy title was implied ... How to win over any guy without them knowing it!
