Dude, she literally said yes, and then you just dodge the matter completely!?!?! Do you like her? Take her on that date! And apologize to her for not being clear. And stop trying to overanalyze what people are thinking by texts and response rate, you'll never know unless you're with them in person and ask.

Just have a real convo. Also, everyone has different rates of texting, so it may not be what your roommate says. I am a woman and likely have even more experience than he does...but I have adhd and forget about texts completely sometimes. It’s not intentional, it just happens. Always get info from the source, not from a roommate who doesn’t know this young lady personally.

They went on a couple of dates before and she wanted to be in a relationship with him but he wasn’t interested, they share the same classes everyday whereas o only share two classes with her

Okay. Well he does know her better. If you’re sure he’s not jealous, then maybe you can trust his judgment but also, just talk to the lady. She will tell you how she does with texts if you ask. But moreso just find out if y’all are interested in more than one date.

The thing is my roommate keeps telling me that if a girl doesn’t respond quickly it’s because she’s not interested or it’s not worth it to try and raise her interest level because women are on their phone 24/7
This is coming from a guy with a lot of experience dealing with women
I’m taking his advices because I never had a gf before and I’m still learning

You texted her at 11 pm on a Saturday. She could've been out with friends or asleep. It's plausible she didn't even see the text until 3 the next day. I would just ask her out with a specific date and time mentioned and see if she's interested.

Don't expect a reply right away when you're texting a girl at 11pm. Even on a Saturday. Not everyone stays up late, and depending on her job she could've had to work the next morning.
