About once a month, I go out with a friend and do a whole afternoon of approaches. Usually I get at least a couple numbers. But every time, when I go home I have a feeling of emptiness.

I've had the feeling enough to know that it's the feeling of being attached to outcomes and then not having those outcomes fulfilled. So I think what's happening is that even when I get numbers, the approaches that don't end with anything are still hitting that outcome attachment nerve.

"Don't be attached to outcomes" and all that, I totally agree. And I've improved a ton on that count. But does anyone feel that spending a day doing street approaches is inherently an outcome-seeking behavior? Could it be that it leads inevitably to that "my expectations weren't fulfilled feeling"? Or is there a positive, healthy way to spend a nice day outside doing approaches?
