Oh. I totally read that wrong. I though you were a girl for a minute. Derp. Sorry about that. The Christmas booze must still be in my system.

Allow it. "Sorry, I'm late guys," is one of my favorite ways to open random tables of mixed sets or large groups. It alleviates pressure for those you have approached, allowing them to play along.

I believe to show the faces of those who were on the show, you must tell them they were part of a show. I could be wrong though. They had to have told them what happened. Then those girls will brag about that for the rest of their lives.

You'd probably have better odds than this guy just joining a fraternity at your college with no goal of getting laid.

art of charm podcast. It was formerly pickup podcast. Great stuff. Especially their earlier episodes. It's been fun to listen to the show evolve though.

This stuff works in more than just seduction. It works in a lot of human interaction. My students constantly say shit to try and piss me off in high school. I usually agree and amplify it. It has worked wonders in winning them over while also disarming them. You will win over people everywhere with this method.

He did a pretty good job with the second girl. She was quite open, which helped a lot. That heritage line is a good opener if you need someway to find related background.

Yes, this happens to a lot of people. It's because our culture doesn't recognize that men have to learn anything about sexuality. Also, they are complete tools if they won't support you in wanting to change. I've gone back and forth with pick-up because of culture and friends, but ultimately, I just have to accept that I like working on myself.

The honest truth from a guy who is mostly in a similar situation as a man in the church is that you want to be a very good man to people. There is nothing wrong with that. Truthfully, it's all about building the ability to tease in a way that is not mean, but viewed as obvious teasing. A way where she knows that you do not genuinely mean anything mean. The other thing is escalating physically. This does not mean you have to go for a quick lay. I don't even like that myself. I actually would like…

If you're starting to get serious, I would honestly have a sit down chat and find out a bit more about her past. For all you know, she may have been harassed a lot in middle or high school. Girls deal with a great deal more of subtle bullying than boys at that age and it really does have permanent damage. Just find out why she hates it so much, and try to emphasize that you mean that she's that good that you're complimenting her. Also, what hotwingz says.

I grew up in a very positive environment where our church actually talked about sex and how it is a good thing. Still, that constant weight was on all of us at our youth groups. I still see so many couples at my church getting married at a very young age just to have sex, and then divorce within a few years. It is still incredibly unhealthy in a positive church environment. Kids should be encouraged to at least explore their sexuality a little bit. It messed me up a ton. I can vouch for OP. Not …

I believe there's more to it than looks alone. If I'm talking to a girl who is an 8 or 9 on the looks department and she makes life very negative for herself and everyone around her, she turns into a 2. I don't want to be around her at all. The idea of sleeping with her, or even looking at her repulses me. I believe a lot of it is personality clicking together. I'm currently starting a bit of a relationship with a 10. Why is she a 10? Not only is she beautiful, she's fun, easygoing, enthusiastic…

Take what I say with a grain of salt, but I would ask them why, and make sure they explain every reason. I would do the same thing as with students: socratic method. Ask them why they think that and why they think every other thing until they realize how stupid they sound in their own ears. In some ways it's a waste of time, but racism should never be tolerated. They were having a circlejerk until it's confronted by someone with a more open and educated opinion. I would also make certain you let…

We do struggle with this. One technique I've heard is to see how far you can go to get rejected so you're no longer towing the line. That way, you come back knowing what is beyond social acceptance. Calibration for context is the ultimate answer on it though.

If she lets you go that far, she may just have a rule about how long she waits. Have you talked to her again? I'm not as expertly as most on here, so I hope they reply as well. I'm just guessing she wanted a good time, but was feeling slut shamed by herself. There are a million different factors that could have been at play. I mean, you don't want to date rape her, that's for sure. However, it feels unfair that she gets to be stimulated but you don't. If you're just in it for sex, I would recomm…

I think it goes a bit deeper due to the whole situation with AtG being taken out of context and removed from Kickstarter. I believe we're in one of those interesting moments of a philosophical burp in seddit. People are coming here for self-improvement to get good with girls, and those who have read the material and followed the sub understand the way things are presented as having consent. You have to remember that after AtG got big, this subreddit was suddenly under more scrutiny, and most cri…

Perfect way to build social proof and make new friends at once is what I am doing: Find someone who knows to dance well, but doesn't get paid to teach it. See if you guys can meet up once every couple of weeks or so and dance for a half hour or so. They can teach you stuff and in return you can go out together or get them lunch or something. You will probably meet their friends as a result, get better at dance, and know how to do it well. That or join a group somewhere. If you really want to get…

Tell them to stop bombing your sets. Explain to them that they are cockblocks if they do that shit. Ask them to sit back and learn this shit with you. Think about it from the vibes you are getting from individuals. I know, that I'm incredibly intense in the workout, so most people won't approach me. I've been told again and again that people want to work out with me when I see them outside of the gym, but they are actually terrified of me at the gym because I look so intense and do absolutely insane workouts. I've had more success with pickup anywhere besides bars. Also, church girls are not hard mode. They're baby crazy and want a ring. And many of them are not good girls in the same as many of the men are not good boys. It's a front. Embrace every feeling, positive or negative. In turn, embracing, reflecting and enjoying highs and lows will make all of them positive and take away their power. Get sleep. Don't allow yourself to become one of those people who fears failure to the point of lack of sleep. It brings on depression, anxiety, mood swings, slow reactions, negative emotions, and possibility of heart attack. Vice versa, don't get too much sleep. That brings on the possibility of strokes from what I've been told. Go out…

This is the advice seddit gives. I'm giving you an upvote for good content, because you explained the most important thing: experience. I've found that genuineness from my heart does work best. However, that typically takes place as the following opener after making eye contact at some place, "Wow! You are adorable and I would regret it if I didn't talk to you. What's your name?" That opener works for me. Why? Because I say it to girls I am genuinely interested in. However, that does not negate …

Situational. I ran into a girl who I ejected from earlier this year. I thought she was with a guy and I'd just had a big surgery about 2 months prior. I could have easily opened my belly incision if the guy wanted to fight if I escalated anymore. Anyway, I was winging my buddy the other night because he was too scared to ask girls to dance at a country bar. I got them to go up to him and she was with the group. Instantly, "Hey! I really liked this article, actually. I think it is all stuff we need to keep in mind. Seduction should never be about results, it should be about self improvement and enjoying yourself around women as equals. I am disappointed he did not mention how Hoinsky is changing many things in his book after the negative reaction. I think that is important to point out. Citation It's not to say we don't pre-select somewhat, but it's not to the level once perceived. I really do like the connections you are making though. It's good to start making connections as that scaffolds your prior knowledge with new information and experiences. You will only get better as a result of that. First of all, thank you for the citation. I'm an English teacher and that just gave me a "metaphorical boner" to borrow words from Sherman Alexie. It does overlook the whole aspect of birth control, but you also have to be careful not to compare apples to oranges. Different species have different ways of sex and procreation. Humans have a much higher understanding for pleasure and entertainment due to our brain capacity. We are social creatures who crave the basic necessities of sex, food, and s…

I always enjoyed Keys to the VIP on Hulu simply because it has a lot of analysis, approach ideas, and is entertaining. RSDJulien and RSDTyler are both pretty good. That would be an amazing battle! From my experience as a teacher, the two areas where we lack in training are classroom management and confidence. I can't agree enough with this. I know a few of the bartenders quite well at a certain establishment in my town. They constantly hook me up with free drinks, greet me by name with a handshake, etc. The social proof is wonderful, the bill is smaller, and the night is simply more fun. Always tip well though. If they're giving you time that they could be making more money on other people, they are sacrificing income for you. It's not buying a friendship, it's supporting their loyalty.

If a girl is way drunk, or if she says no, you stop. That's it. No amount of seduction is worth rape. If you want a chance, it's obviously not going to happen soon. Move on, like ThrowawayPUA says. The idea of seduction is that you are not manipulating with power or fear, but letting a girl feel sexy to the point that she wants you. You made the right move in not going further. A lot of girls I go up to, I lose interest in very fast, the number one reason being they're boring. I could not agree more! If I'm talking to a girl and she only says like one word responses or stands there without any energy at all, I eject. It's not even necessarily a lack of interest on her part. Sometimes it's just that she's so busy trying to look good that she's forgotten to work on other important things in her life. I like your moves; I like your style.

Go to a therapist, like the rest of the advice says. That would be good help. If not that, you are probably doing what I did for a while: Putting too much emphasis on your virginity. Go out knowing you're a sexual being and be comfortable with that. Possibly ask this on /r/sex. They may have better answers on some of it. Also, the therapist thing is not a terrible idea. Don't be ashamed to tell a woman how you want her. Have you thought about an outlet such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or boxing? I kn…

Please do not dismiss this until you have finished reading it: It won't happen the way you are looking. I'm one hundred percent honest about that. It just won't. You can't go "find" your passion, as romantic as that sounds. You have to make passion. It's a sad fallacy we have that you have to find yourself or find your passion. To a degree, you can find things that have an affinity to your personality or likes, but that is about it. There's a professor/reverend named Tony Campolo who went over t…

I can't drink until August because I was a living liver donor. I just ask for non alcoholic beverages. Like iKill_eu said, just say you have to drive. If it's too tempting, find other venues, as difficult as that is. If you're not in a small town that should be easy. EDIT: There is nothing about not drinking that is not alpha. If it's for medical reasons, that is showing you have self-control and you love to go where the fun is. The best kind of person to be around.

If your town is big enough, you should have a website for events. Google in "[town name] events." One of the first ones will probably be an events page made for your town. Facebook is to scattered and algorithmically filtered to give you the full list of venues for that night. Also, you just have to go out, even if you aren't meeting friends there. It's a great time to make new friends. I sure as hell didn't want to go out last night, but I went to a hip hop show anyway and it was a blast. I did…

I just listened to a really good episode of pickup podcast on this. It was one of their more recent ones. Bring a friend and mingle with everyone before hand and what not. A lot of girls bring their friends, but guys go alone. It increases your social value a ton if you can chat up everyone for 20 or so minutes beforehand if possible.

Before I had internet at my house in a small town I was teaching in, I would go to a fast food joint owned by my landlord and do this. I'd be smirking and laughing as all these high school kids would walk in, and all they'd see is a wall of text. I think this would be even better as a collaborated research project. I'm looking at the sociolinguistics aspect of it all. There is a certain phenomenon with pick up in which you break from the typical consultative and casual styles of language and quickly fall into intimate. Also, there is a right and wrong thing to say depending on how it is said and by whom it is said. I think all of that would be fascinating, as would the psychology. I really do believe we should do a study on this, but there needs to be a better control. It's become a support group because a bunch of people are coming here to learn how to pick up women, but need to know how to get their shit together first. If something is holding you back, you need to find out what it is. Is it a job? Is it just anxiety? Are you going after the wrong kind of women? Don't just pick up every girl, have a pre screening. Which ones do you like? If you're picking up girls you like, you won't flake because you will make time for them.

First, sorry about my wording. You're correct in your accusation and I do apologize for that. I don't mean to be cryptic. How much did you touch? Touching brings a lot of emotion with it. Use the Kino escalation ladder, as it really does work. Are you showing confidence by not having to talk to her the whole time? That's another thing. I'm a high school teacher. I also taught writing at the college level, which seemed to be a much better DHV when talking to girls. I prefer high school though. It was all over the science community. It was a big article in quite a few magazines. The choosy female theory came from fruit fly experiments from a few decades ago that are now proven wrong. There are a lot more social variables that go on in life than the experiments like this can handle. Attractiveness and beauty are much more subjective than we give credit for in the community.

I think we could take this a step further with the following definitions: Nice The set of actions, typically defined as positive or helpful, in some manner in social dogma which are inspired by and performed strictly based upon the expectation of positive reciprocity for one's own benefit. Its underlying motivations are to sell trust and high value, weigh receiving parties with burden of reciprocating favors, and brand oneself with good merit. Kind The set of actions, defined as positive and hel…

This is important to have reviews like this. It shows that he's not a teacher. He may have information, but that's all. He is clearly not interested in his clientele. I'm sorry to hear that he was an absolute tool. I don't care who a PUA is: when they have a boot camp with clients, they should not even be considering opening a set for any purpose other than coaching and teaching. He was clearly not thinking of anyone who paid if he just wanted to game a bartender all night. What a tool.

He's obviously changed, but this reminds me of an episode of Pickup Podcast that Neil Strauss was on. He basically pointed out that if your main concern is the life and times of a PUA as opposed to getting better at this stuff, then you are really missing the point of seduction. Who cares. Are you different than you were a year ago? Are you a better person? Are you better at game? Why does the lifestyle of someone else affect you one way or another? But, to answer your question, I think this ans…

You're thinking about it too much. Have something else planned after day-gaming. Make sure to end your day on a high note so that you don't just have to dwell on the numbers. It gives you something to invite these girls to, as well as get your mind off of it. If you don't have anything to invite people to, I personally suggest something physically stimulating as it can help get your mind off thoughts and into the moment, followed by a clearing of your mind. Learn the virtue of industry.

I think it has more to do with the subreddit trying to remain on topic. Think of it as a classroom: If you get off topic, nothing is really learned what you signed up for. Still, you have a point about some people being too judgmental. I can understand that. However, people need to understand context for where they post what.

It took me 6 years to graduate with a degree in English, and I finally started teaching last year in a little town in Montana on one of the reservations. Needless to say, I learned that I needed passions outside of teaching, and I started really getting shit tog…

Don't get me wrong, I actually learn a lot from Tyler, and I like his stuff. I agree with what you say, except when you have multiple factors at play in the setting. 1) Alcohol: The best description I have ever heard on alcohol was by an alcoholic friend of mine. It in no way changes your morals; it changes your judgement. It's not that you are a worse person with alcohol than who you really are without it, but it lowers inhibitions. This is the most important factor in the game. We all get frustrated at sucking in the beginning, but it is just like a sport. I always compare my days in wrestling. You have to practice the moves, or in this case, the interactions thousands of times for them to become sub-routine. In order to not think about what you are doing in the field is the same as not thinking about snapping a guy's head, changing level, taking a penetration step, and then performing a beautiful flare double leg takedown…

I would assume it's to do with your own preference. Being an English major, I hate redundancy and cliche. I find it much more fulfilling to say other things depending on circumstance and variable. Yes it does. Obviously, meeting new women does have the best results for the practice, but the whole idea behind the shower thing is not to raise testosterone. The very idea that we're arguing over testosterone levels is silly. You can still go talk to a girl if you have low testosterone. This whole "you need a shit ton of testosterone" thing itself is a pseudoscience if you ask me. The point is to nut up and deal with the cold shower, not grow a tad bit more hair on your balls and ass.

I like this idea for one reason: too many people say just jump in and start talking, but that doesn't work for everyone. You have to start small. You have to start at a challenge that is attainable. You have to scaffold your way up to a point. If the part of AA that is getting you is the flinch, then this is great. I personally like the idea more for taking a baby step in getting over things you're not looking forward to. It seems like it's even better for success and risk taking than getting ov…

It has nothing to do with that. You are in to the same thing everyone else is into: the human condition. You love seeing relationships work because we all want that. It's an innate desire based both on society and biology. Also, you love those shows because they are character driven shows. As a lit major I can tell you that those shows are actually written very well.

Anyway, don't try to force your change on them. You're free to change, you're free to talk to women in the bar, but don't expect your friends to change as well. Why not? That's what America and Europe did to the rest of the world. Look how that turned out. . . I see your point.

Because he's at least filling that time with something constructive like trying to get the real thing. Asking why life is much better after stopping porn is like asking why you feel better when you make a great, healthy meal as compared to eating a big mac. One may take less work and taste good, but it has nothing on the real, home cooked meal. Think of it that way. Porn is sexual junk food. More than a little can be quite bad for your mental health.

For me, it's usually just enjoying a couple beers and a meal at a bar. Not too many ragers. It's a little awkward if you're going there to do pick up, but it's not if you're going to enjoy yourself. I honestly believe it is better if you only have anxiety-ridden friends to go alone. You get to meet lots of people and decide whether or not you want to be a lively or quiet person. The one fundamental I would change, if I could, in a lot of pick-up communities, is that we would selflessly help people without thought of reward. I see a lot of panic arising because we …

It's a great way to get over AA though. If you can go up to a stranger and act crazy, that's pretty good at building confidence. You think you're going to get any 25+ year old virgin to get a girl the first time they talk to one? It takes a good amount of work to hook up with someone you just met. They are so desperate to please that they put aside their own needs, and place the object of their desire on a pedestal. Instead of appreciating her, they worship her. We are only human, and pedestals are narrow, confining places to be -- not to mention the fact that we tend to fall off of them. This is exactly the problem. I concur with your post completely. I would also say the goal is to make it a movie. Movies are about average people who have extraordinary days. I believe that is half of seduction: Carpe Diem and living life to its fullest. In a sense, that feeling everyone wants from a film IRL can only happen when we decide to get off our asses and do stuff about the misery in the sewers. Could we then rephrase it to be that /r/seduction is a place where we can begin to live that movie atmosphere?
