Yes, but not like you think. It usually turns into a ridiculous wink and laughter, and she knows you're a jokester and comfortable with sex. It sexualizes the conversation, but you still have all the work to do. Or if it's 4am and you're grinding with the b-squad on a sweaty dance floor, then it really works like you think it works.

This can work for high school freshman who have extensive practice at pickup skills, are in their twenties, at a bar, near closing time. And even then it's a long shot.

I forgot to add that instead of saying "Do you want to come home with me?" I would say, "Do you want to go out?". So if I said, "Do you want to go out?" instead, would that work?

Your question itself is flawed.
"Does it really work?" It's been written on the internet, possibly by people who have used it and who have at some point had success with it. So by that logic, yes, it does work. Sometimes.
What you want to be asking is "Does it work regularly?" or even "Does it work BETTER than the more socially acceptable normal ways of hitting on girls like i dont know, talking to her, flirting, then asking her out?"
To those questions, i'd say probably not. You've had no chance to actually convey your personality or any attractive qualities you have to the girl, except for this phoney wall of confidence and your appearance.
I'll leave you with this final point:
One time i opened a girl on the dance floor with 'Hi'. I probably said 3 more sentences to her before she took my hand, led me off the dance floor and asked if i wanted to go home with her. Now does that mean saying "Hi" works? Erm, fuck knows, that's a dumb question. It worked once but only because i said it to a girl who for some reason was looking for a guy to fuck or something.
The point is, just because some douchey PUA bro comes along and says 'yo i just tried this technique and it WORKED' doesnt mean it's any good - even if they're not lying about the fact that they got laid after doing it.

No that will not work. Unless you are like an 8/10 or higher then most girls will say no if you ask them out out of nowhere. Don't try to find an easy way into this, go head first. Learn the escalation ladder, learn about conversation threading and make this a skill.
You didn't win your favorite game by opening the debug console and typing "Can I win now?"
