Curious what's your motive to posting this? I was expecting a guy trying to get better at this posting a kind of motivational message and this is still motivational... Is this kinda an invitation to guys not to get discouraged? It's an interesting take on the situation anyway. I think it's easy for us to see a rejection as a be all end all kinda thing, well for me I mean, blow it out of proportion you know

Question: were you genuinely interested in at least setting up an opportunity for the two of you to get to know each other? Could you have exchanged information, maybe incorporated the guy into your night, all hung out together, etc.?

Or were you JUST acting as your friend's shield and vice versa?

I feel like sometimes girls would rather not, and wait to see perhaps if another opportunity naturally arises at some point in the future. Girls like that fate/destiny angle.

This is why if I get some attention from a girl in my social circle who I'll probably see again (i.e. we make out or whatever), I won't be aggressive in chasing her down to get her out. I'll just wait until I see her again, and she'll probably be chasing me then.
