At times, I have what I would call "extreme indecisiveness" which is where I basically seize/freeze up over a decision and mull over it for literally minutes or some other length of time that is not normal given the decision.
Interestingly, this doesn't happen as much for important decisions as it does with trivial ones. For example, if I have to decide between two job offers, I may ask some friends, think about it, then make a firm decision.
However, it's things like day-to-day plans and plans with my girlfriend that I'm blowing it hardcore with. For example, I plan to go to a meetup, then the time comes near and I feel that it's not the best use of my time this particular day so I tell myself I'll just go next time... Then about 30 minutes prior, I start questioning my own decision, getting nervous, thinking about who I may have met and passed the opportunity, etc... Or going hiking vs. going to the gym.. I start thinking about well going hiking will give mor sun exposure but gym will be a better workout, bla bla bla... It becomes way too big of a decision and sometimes I even regret it.
I do this with nearly everything simple on a day-to-day basis and it's getting in my way, wasting my time, irritating the hell out of my girlfriend, and etc... Do you have any tips or videos or links on how to stop doing this? It seems to be getting worse lately, I'm 27. A likely reason its gotten worse is because Im currently studying full time and working from home so I probably have more time to torment myself lol
