I posted a topic a while back regarding a girl I have been chatting to for the past few weeks. I had a crush on her at school like 15 years ago! and we now both live in different cities etc.

So everything appears fine, we speak on the phone frequently and on Thursday morning I wake up to a text message

The conversation goes as follows

HER : "May I visit Bristol (City) next weekend?"

ME: "Well I cant exactly stop you can I ;) Sure sounds good"

HER "Oh don't worry forget about it"

ME "Ok no worries"

30 MINS LATER

HER "Sorry its that time of the month"

And she forwards me a screenshot of the train times

ME "Give me 30 minutes and I will take a look when I get home"

HER "Lets just forget about it, its been 15 years and the past is best left in the past"

At this point I am thinking ok she is either very disturbed in some way or this is like some rapid shit test game?

I kept calm and just ignored it and carried on with my day.

To cut a long story short we speak that night on the phone and she wants to visit again blah blah blah so I agree and she books her train for the weekend.

We continue chatting and looking at cool places to stay on AIRBNB etc

The place we wanted on AIRBNB is booked and we start running low on options

She sends me two hotels which she has booked Costing nearly £300!?

So I messaged her this morning saying

"Look we can either book something for this weekend but you spending £300 seems a bit insane for just 2 nights!?" Why don't we move it back to next weekend and it will be half the price? Or if you want to still come by all means go ahead.

Just to add she was paying for accommodation not me.

HER: Lets forget it - "You've totally killed my buzz now! I hate talking about money and things. Totally not in the mood now.

ME: At this point I think fuck this and wish her a good week basically saying no problem, enjoy the rest of your week.

Tonight...I get a missed call...I ask her if she called and she said sorry it was a accident (clearly it wasn't)

So I stay calm again and say "No worries"

Then she goes into one again

HER: Haha you are such a idiot :D Why are you such a oddball? For someone I hardly know you seem to get under my skin!

HER: I thought you were a nice guy..Seem's my radar was wrong this time

HER: Lets leave it there

ME: Until tomorrow zzz

ME: Sleep well x

That was the last I heard from her this evening

I haven't done anything horrible, I have just been confident and calm/unphased by it all.

Why the hell is she doing this ? She hates the fact she cant get me to bite and calls me strange and weird to try and provoke a reaction from me when I don't respond to her shit.

I never chase her, If I let her cool off she rekindles the conversation or calls me within 24 hours but why these reactions towards me when she cant provoke me?

Her train will still be booked for Friday should she decide to change her mind again

How should I proceed ?

I have spoken with her today and she told me she cancelled because I threw a spanner in the works about the accommodation (which is true) And she got fed up with the back and forth! she is happy to come next weekend instead and rebook the train tickets

She also decided to drop into the conversation that she even went through a lot of pain for this weekend (Female preening as she put it) And was really looking forward to this Friday

Well I guess guys she is coming here for one reason...If I was in any doubt before I guess that makes it crystal clear...Who would have thought you could have a crush and literally no confidence to even speak to her throughout the entire time of high school and now make such strides as to get her to visit me within 2 weeks...Crazy

I have told her I will make the arrangements and I will see her on Friday...
