Yes it can help but you shouldn't be relying on social media to get women.

Depends, but a group of 2-3 (good-natured) friends is a good thing to have since the girl would probably notice the group with her own gaggle.
You can, of course. In my case, it does help. However, keep it short, enough to let people know but not trying to push your life on others (we all know someone like that).
Depends on the quality. Mostly they would just be there for moral support unless you're older and can actually hit bars.
