This was a couple months ago back in August. Things aren't going too well for me lol as this was probably my last meaningful approach.

I've been on this thread and trying to build courage to talk to girls. I'm a single dad, 26, my daughter is 3, I have her on weekends kind of situation. My daughter and I went to a local park and they're was a beautiful mom there playing with her two young sons, I basically encouraged my daughter to go over there and play. But she was interested in other activities (swings, jungle gym, other children) anyways this girl ended up leaving, I eventually left too.

When I get back to my car, there she is her car parked across from mine, I'm struggling to think of something to say. I blurt out "hey do you know if that water park is open" she goes "I have no idea I'm from Richmond Hill" , I'm like "oh what are you doing here", she says "I take my kids here" . I say nice, she says "I'm a social worker" randomly, starts telling me about her life. I respond with telling her what I do bla blah blah.

Conversation dies off, she's taking a long time to pack her kids up in her car. I think she was a single mom but not 100% sure, because of this reason basically fear of getting rejected, I didn't ask if she was, didn't ask her to hang or her number. But it was a genuine approach that resulted in good tension. After my daughter knew something was up and asked why I was taking to that girl for so long lol.

This is just my most recent field report ( late August) I've decided next time I make a real approach like that I'm escalating asking for a number, saying she's cute, making my interest known. Hopefully I can start approaching more and escalating to get that contact info, I have a small social circle and this is basically the only way I can meet girls, apps aren't working very well, very small selection of girls at the office.
