Today I made a big step forward for myself.

It is finals week so the library at my university is the new dorms.. So While I was studying I see this cute girl sit down with her friend. They are laughing and they seem like some fun girls. So I ripped a piece of bind paper I was using and just wrote, "Good Luck on your Finals :)" -GiraffeLogic. And then on the back I wrote my number.

I Waited...

And Waited...

I froze. But I told myself that once she leaves her group of friends, or I leave first I was going to slip it in her hand.

About 30 Minutes later, I notice her and her friend head to the restroom, so after 5 minutes while I walk to the restroom they get out, my heart was beating at an abnormally fast beat.. I was about to just walk past without even giving her the note. But I didn't do that. I looked at her in the eyes and with a smile on my face I said,"This is for you." and moved my hand towards hers. She grabbed it, and I walked away. While I am walking away, I hear "awhs" from her and her friend.

I am proud of what I did, but I don't want to do that again. I want to have a conversation. I don't want to just hand a girl a note and then scurry on.

I will get their though, one step at a time.

P.S This subreddit has had a big impact on my life. I feel more confident, and I have really tried to focus on eye contact and body language since reading. So thank you, hopefully there will be more to come.
