Hi Seddit! New member here and would like to share my first experience of approaching today.

A little bit about me. I'm a 26-year-old graduate student (Asian, 5'9'', decent looking) at a massive public university (50,000+). I've had a fair amount of past relationships (the previous one was 2 & 1/2 years and almost amounted to marriage but I called it off) so I will say I'm decent with girls and relationships in general. However, after breaking off from the past relationship I was sort of stuck in a rut and haven't had much success for a year. This forced me to study game (watching Todd V, reading Neil Strauss and Mystery) and I've pushed myself to joined different clubs and have made decent progress so far doing social circle game. Nevertheless, I've been plagued by AA and haven't made any cold approaches at all until today.

Anyways, I was working in the university library today and I saw a cute Asian girl working by herself. I decided that today will be the day that I stop being a fxxking pussy and make the move. After mentally prepping for 10 mins, I packed my stuff up (so I can leave the library right away if I get rejected) and walked directly towards her table, with a burning sensation of nervousness inside me.

Me: "Hey, what's your name?" (Smiling, good posture, but I did not stick my hand out far enough to indicate an obvious handshake)

Her: "Um... why are you asking this?" (Brows locked, looks genuinely confused)

Me: "Oh, I thought you were kinda cute and so I came over to say Hi to you."

Her: "Oh! Um... wow..." (Brows now relaxed and she started blushing a bit, but then immediately looked back at her notes.)

Me: "You busy studying for a midterm or something?" (I could sense that she's not really interested but I think I fucked up here by giving her an excuse to not talk to me further)

Her: "Yeah, sorry I'm really trying to focus right now." (Looked back at her notes and gave me a cold shoulder. At that moment I know this is GG)

Me: "Oh okay, well, good luck with your study." (She did not look at me and I ejected.)

I'll say this is a pretty hard rejection but I was grinning all the way after leaving the library. My whole body was shaking from the adrenaline rush. I feel proud of myself for doing something that has always scared me. Now that I got the first approach out of the way, I know I'm mentally ready to make more approaches in the future.

Thanks for reading everyone!
