Depends on your body type and the weather, but the short answer is a big fat NO.

First date you gotta peacock a little bit, just a bit not much. Wear some decent gear, decent shoes that are CLEAN. No one wants to see a dudes busted feet on the first date. Assuming you're gonna wear flip flops or something lol. Wear a watch at the very least and a tiny bit of cologne, have good eye contact and you should be good.

Just as a quick edit: Try some casual wear from express, that stuff fits me perfectly, a nice ironed/steamed T-shirt, nice clean pants and some clean fresh sneakers or boots. I always wear a watch and have more than a couple. I've started wearing accessories as well, small stuff but girls seem to be really into it when they see me so i guess it's legit.

Here is an example from Expresses main page. If you look like that dude in the video on the right hand side Nice shirt, shorts and sneakers then you're fine. If not, then...yea use those models as a reference.
