I'm currently looking for a sales role and found a company that got back to me. Commission only, cold calling, even as a newbie I can tell this is a lackluster role but that's not the point. Even outside of that, the first video call with the manager, the guy was so long winded, any questions I had wouldn't give a straight answer. Seemed like the guy just had ample amounts of time to just talk about nothing when I have shit to do and can't be on a call if it's not about real business. I thought about it and said, how can this guy be doing good business if he has just time to be, probably not a company worth joining

Point of the story is, try not to be too available, be a little protective of time. I know this gets echoed a lot but this is a prime example
