I do sales for a job and let me tell you. It helps get you out there and not be afraid to talk to you. It does not make you instant able to talk to girls

I try to compare dating to specific sales situations, mainly demand.

A salesman at a Chrysler dealership needs to cold call and email all day to generate leads because the product is known to be defective and not in high demand. He needs to find and approach customers and try to convince them.

A salesman at a Toyota dealership is too busy servicing walk ins and taking phone inquiries because the product is proven and high in demand. Customers approach him, the leads generate themselves and they walk in already convinced.

In this parable, you are the product. A man who is in demand has no need to "cold approach" or exert effort into "making" a woman like him.

The more you try to please a woman or approach them to give them automatic validation, the less preselected you appear and the less they like you, you are showing you aren't in demand.

Dating is like the market, and the more attractive people get more “sales” because they have better opportunities.

We little merchants have trouble since all the customers (women) would rather do business with the best of the sellers, not leaving any business for us.

If it was like sales, the difference would be that the man is not supposed to be the seller, but the prospect. And the woman has to be the seller where the man just has to decided whether she is what she wants after extensive proper screening and vetting which requires not being sold on her from the start until she earns it..

Failure to set this frame early on in the interaction means you are chasing her and thus repelling her, instead of attracting her and thus you simply won't date her.

Men think they have to be the seller because they errounously think the woman is gatekeeping something that the man doesn't have and which the man wants to extract from her somehow.

But when you grow up and realize that women don't withhold anything and that engaging with her is about creating something together, not you trying to convince her to give you something then you realize it's not about giving her reasons to date you or proving your worth or tryign to "score points" or earn access to her vagina or win over her heart...

It's about expressing and creating and making each other feel and connect naturally without you trying to do things to achieve and specific outcome. Instead you are there to evaluate whether she is good enough for you, whether you connect with her naturally and can be yourself without trying to second guess your actions, whether you can speak your mind freely without filtering yourself and evaluating whether she plays along and clicks with your vibe.

And if she doesn't you don't think "i should have done something different" because you know that what you are xpressing is your true self and whoever girl you date will have to align with your true self, or you will be completley ok with letting the girl go if she doesn't.

Someone told me at my first sales job (was shitty but learned so much) mindset>matter and this sales dude Pete said “well have you ever got some pussy before?” All flustered i say yes lol then he says “good, then you can close a deal then.” 😂😂😂
