Asking what she's up to and saying the most recent interesting thing I've done. If she's boring (90% of women are) the conversation goes to what I'm doing, if she has things going on in her life (10% of women it seems) then we talk about that.

Responding to the first message, meh 40-100% in a given week. I'd say expecting 50% leaves me in a good spot. Engage in a loner convo? I have no idea, I'm usually the one that breaks it off. I usually don't take that personally it usually means they were already talking to a guy they liked and hedging their bets with me.

There are tinder guides out there, some free stuff with good advice on messaging. Many of them also have $ products which cost like $100 plus. Those guys tend to use the exact same line every time to hook the girl's interest and as a funnel. Until girls start to tell them "I've seen that before" (because they shared it online and people copied their line) then they come up with a new line.

Stuff like "Hey trouble" or "You look like you'd be bad for my organs".

Just matched with a local. Made the first message about a local place, an anecdote, and a place for a date in 3 sentences. Got "yes absolutely" in response to date proposal.
