The title is self explanatory. I’ve been on a uni getaway to welcome the greenhorns (such as myself). I had no problem meeting new people, in fact I enjoyed myself so much…

But to the point. Today was the last evening and there was a great deal of party, drinking and alcohol involved. I only got myself a beer or two and went partying hard.

I danced with almost every girl. I never went to any dance classes, just went with the flow. Spins, trains, fun stuff. Then I saw a girl I saw before in different activity, so I just went for it. She was standing by the wall, I took her hand and took her out to dance. We dance a little a talked briefly. Then she excused herself and told me she will find me in a bit.

I took it as a 50/50 chance and went on partying. I’ve met her a few minutes later. She asked me if I know where one place is and we searched together. When we found it, we stood there for a while. She asked me numerous times if I will go with her to this one club few km away. I wasn’t so keen on going, it was pretty far and my foot hurt from a previous injury, so I just told her I can’t.

She came back a few times to ask if I really don’t want to go, which I did not. She got a group together later. Before that happened, she said bye to me for now and we parted ways.

I feel like I had a pretty good shot. I feel great, maybe a little sad about not going with her in the end, but happy nonetheless.

Rest of the evening, I spent with my new classmates and friends. It was great.
