Personally, I find it hard to maintain a friendship with someone i was romantically involved with shortly after not being with her. I only would be open to a friendship after like over a year of not being with her, where your feelings have dissipated and you can see her kissing another guy and not care.

I would suggest you ghost it and keep your distance for some time and, if you really want to, spark a friendship again with her, but others may suggest something else.

Not responding to messages I find rude. There is a subtle line between being polite and ending up manipulated. Women are masters in the art of enticing men who are susceptible in some kind of friend-zone. They are most at their advantage when you meet physically, where you are fighting on her terrain, body language, sexy attire, princess in distress drama and so on. My advice is to respond to her messages in a polite but distant manner and avoid meeting her strictly until you have another girlfriend.
