Long time lurker, trying to give this whole thing the real college try. I'm 21, fairly good looking, tall and a good talker. I've been trying to get phone numbers at my school by approaching girls and trying stuff out. I'll either go with a direct approach or sometimes experiment with something fancier. I usually ask, very directly, "Are you currently single?" at some point. I've found that I've had a success rate of about 30% with numbers, but often times she says she has a boyfriend. When I text those numbers later, I've found that many ignore me or are fakes.

How can I improve the percentage of numbers I get, and then the response when I text them?
