I don't think this post is helpful at all.

Right? What did I just read? Went out, acted like sorta a douche (not necessarily bad if it's mostly playful, but still...), then banged a girl who has a boyfriend? Oh, and btw, she was just one of seven this week? How is this constructive for seddit in any way?

Are IZOD polos really looked down upon?

just use it as a giant example, then it makes sense.

I'd have to agree with you. I thought this forum was for guys reporting what happened in "the field," and sharing stories of their wacky adventures.

Pretty useless. Also, girls with actual boyfriends? Pfft. Don't do things to others you would not like yourself.

Oh man - I don't really care about that stuff. If my girl wants to go do her own thing, fine. I wish her the best.

Her friend comes to meet us (she's been looking for her) and is totally pissed. I ease her up and get them to say at the bar for a bit
Can you elaborate on how you defused the CB?

I just started joking around with her and making her laugh - I teased her for how upset she was that her friend was at the bar right next door. Then few people I recognized showed up so I called them over and they got her laughing more. We all had a drink and everything was good.

If you have time to do so, could you describe your initial transition to this "life"? I'm just curious as to how you've gotten to this point and what steps you took to reach your current success level.
I'm not sure if you mean seduction or self-development in general, but they kind of go hand in hand, so I'll touch on both. I'll do this in sort of a stream of consciousness... I'm typing this on a cell phone while on a treadmill, so bare with me...
• Go out, obviously. I used to hate going out - now it's one of the most fun things I do. When you hear people say this will fix most of your problems, it's very true. It's like reading how to play the guitar; it's not going to make you better until you play the thing. Many times you're not going to want to go out (tired, work, etc.) you have to just push through it. It does get easier.
• Complete immersion is pretty much my approach to everything. When I discovered the self help community I took a Tony Robbins course, read all sorts of crazy material, tried everything under the sun and kept doing the things that worked while discarding that which did not. Keep a journal of EVERYTHING! This cements it in your mind and it's something you can look back on and one day give to your kids (...maybe).
• This isn't a requirement for everybody, but if you have a toxic group of people in your life, get away from them. I didn't get massive results until I ditched the negative people in my life (i was one if them) and moved to a city and made friends based on things other than "i've known them for a long time." You are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with - you might as well make those people really good, successful friends who respect you and want to see you succeed too. You'll meet these people through networking and offering value to them (skill, connections, your personality, your sense of adventure, the way you challenge them and make them step up).
• Goal set every aspect of your life. I've been doing this since I was a teenager and I feel it is the reason for my successes in life, school, career, social circle, inner peace, etc. Check out Brad's Lifestyle Academy (of RSD) for a great, well-rounded 8-week course on this. I just went through it and it's totally worth it if you are new (he also offers weekly 1 hr Skype coaching sessions and is extremely down to earth.) There are lot of great programs like this. Set weekly (every sunday night), 3-month, 6-month, year, 5 year, 10 year goals and review them frequently. You can change these goals as you grow and your priorities change, but obtaining them is going to give you confidence. (On that note: read "The Six Pillars of Self Esteem").
• If I can give an old school throw back to the man Neil Strauss, I remember him saying "Always have something better to do than picking up girls," (or something like that). This is so important. If you don't have hobbies, get them. I enjoy rock climbing, biking, writing/reading, bodybuilding, playing music, photography, helping strangers (change a dude's flat tire on the side of the highway, you'll make his day), networking and playing Call of Duty.
• Meeting people who are on the same path (and preferably who are better than you) is so important - i find people in real life are better than people on message boards because the internet can be a breeding ground for the frustrated types who want to take knowledge rather than share it.
• Talk to everybody, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel at the time - having your social skills on point is the foundation for this game.
• Always be learning something new: there's so many interesting Podcast out there with info, take classes, travel, do things that scare you and understand (and truly believe) that every uncomfortable step you take is going to make you a much stronger, but better person. This is so important.
• Ignore the haters, but don't be ignorant to outside perspective. Learn to differentiate what is honest criticism and what is frustrated internet flamers talking high school. The most success you get, the more hate you'll inevitably receive.
Sorry if this is word vomit... I hope it helps. Any questions, book/program recommendations, etc., just ask.

Not productive as a post, but an entertaining read. You write like hell, man.
