Beer night at a bar, so a few of my friends ended up going and ran into a few other friends there.

Remember a piece of advice from Simple Pickup, talk to the first girl you see, I decided to follow and talk to the first girl I saw, who happened to be a waitress. We talked for a while, I was getting some good IOIs, she said she had to go check some tables so I went and hung out with my friends.

Started to talk to a girl in our group I never met before, talked for a while though the conversation kind of died down.

Saw two girls sitting alone at a table looking kind of bored so I decided to just sit down, worked well, they opened up and seemed pretty interested in chatting.

Noticed the waitress I talked to earlier that night didn't seem busy so I walked over and started to talk to her for a bit more. After a while she said she had to go check her tables, so I said I should get her number in case I don't see her again that night. She said she had a boyfriend so I stopped there. (I know lots of people will say I should have pushed more, used a line or something, but I figured I'd just talk to some other people rather than push for her number)

Went back to the group of friends, noticed a girl I talked to once or twice before but didn't really know her. We talked for a bit, she kind of seemed to lean into me so I put my arm around her.

After a while she went to go get a drink so I went back to the other two girls I talked to before. They seemed like they were jealous (I noticed they were right behind me for a while when I had my arm around the other girl) so I didn't talk for long and eventually just walked away.

Met another guy I knew but hadn't seen in a while so I talked to him for a bit and I noticed the girl(one I had my arm around) get back into our group of friends. After talking to the guy for a bit more I went back to the group and just talked to few friends, eventually went back to the girl and put my arm around her and talked for a bit. Friends waved me over and said they wanted to go (I was the DD). So I quickly went back to the girl and said I had to go but that I should get her number. Handed her my phone and she put her number in, and then my friends and I left.

Some quick background, I'm a pretty introverted person and just got out of a LTR so being able to go out and just open some girls, talk, and in one case, kino and # close is a pretty big step for me as well as a pretty good feeling.

I just want to thank /r/seduction for giving me some confidence on this topic and also want to say I'm open to any advice and suggestions. I realize I'm still very far from being a mPUA so any advice or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
