Last week I had one of the most fun nights in years ans now due to no text response I am pretty hurt and confounded as to how I fumbled this.

Last week was by most metrics an absolute success. I met with a couple friends at a jazz club. Saw two beautiful girls walk in with a male friend. I cold approach them before we left and invited them to join us at the next cocktail bar. They obliged, we all hung out and learn that all 3 are roommates that just moved into town (their male friend is was gay and just a cool dude so there was no friction there). They were are really cool and we had a great time so we went to a karaoke bar next. The girl I was attracted to, let’s call her ‘Sarah’, started hooking up with me there we’re having a great time. Afterwords, everyone came over to mine where Sarah and I continued to hookup as well as my friend and the other girl. By the end of the night Sarah was laying her head on my lap and was very playful. So when it got very late they all left. I asked her to text me when she got home and she did. Here’s our text conversation:

Sarah: “Thank you so much for showing us a good time. I’m looking forward to more” Me: same :) Sarah: Ugh now I can’t sleeeeep lol Me: Hahahah wish u were here

Then I text the next day: “how are we feeling” Then sent a few vids of the karaoke

Still no response . So I then sent a text the next day, based on our conversation about getting dinner together:

“I hope you’re alive! Turns out I had my vape the whole time lmao I’d love to steal you to one of my favorite Thai places if you have a free night :) what does your week look like?”

Of course no response still. Am I absolutely cooked? The thing that hurts the most is my buddy hooked up her roommate too… and that girl is still texting him. It’s killing me because we had so much in common.. we even went to the college and are similar in age and interests.

Any advice from you all would be wonderful.

And don’t get me wrong… it’s not lost on me that this was a very successful night by most metrics. Obligatory, before you say Rules 1 and 2. I am not 6ft and I cold approach more than anyone I’ve met. I don’t do online dating. I’ve gotten good at the approach, the number, and oftentimes the hookup, but my struggle has always been follow up. This one stings. I feel very demotivated now. Any advice or experience would help.

One lesson I’m taking is A) don’t say shit like I wish u were here. That came across clingey and I think that set her off. I was pretty wasted when I sent that and definitely think that’s the culprit.
