This FR isn't really about approaches it's more about observations made in the field and my thoughts about it. This weekend I went out and did some bar hopping with some good friends. We were having a great time, but one of my friends was acting really depressed over a girl who he's been focused on for a while. Normally he's an outgoing guy has fun and will generally approach, but this night he just stood around and stared at his phone eventually getting too drunk to function.

This got me thinking about myself. A few weeks ago I was my friend, there was this girl who I was focused on for a few weeks who told me we should just be friends. I was crushed and stayed up all night drinking by myself. Sometime during this bender at like 4 am I left my house and took a walk. During this walk I did some analyzing about my situation, and came to the conclusion that I was going to cut this girl out of my life. I don't want to be her friend and I shouldn't torture myself dealing with her. So I stopped texting her. The first few days were hard, but eventually started realizing some things.

This girl is nothing special there are millions of girls in the world she is insignificant. This girl is a clinger my phone has two pages of her saying hey, hi, and whats up without a reply from me. I had nothing in common with this girl thinking hard I can't find a shared interest. But mostly I realized once you are able to take a step back you can see a situation for what it really is (theres a quote about a statue and cracks or something like that).

Back to the field though that night I was making moves. I was approaching, pulling numbers dancing, having a good time, probably could have gotten an F-close with an HB7 if I didn't have to take my friend home. But I did get the realization that if you step back and actually analyze your relationship with a girl you can start to see whats actually happening.

tldr: take a step back see the cracks get over the girl she's not special
