After flirting online with HB7 for a few weeks we had a first date today.

(Parenthetical aside: After my recent "Advanced" post, there is some dispute as to my HB scale. I am 38 and attracted to women say 20-my age. This HB is a definite 7 in this spectrum. Girl in question is 22, pretty but has some acne scars, and is fit (she is a competitive dancer) beautifully large-breasted, curvy but not heavy. Something like 5'4" and ~135 with E-cups. Anyway. You know the number system is not working when I have to expand like this. But that is a separate post.)

Right, back to the field report. First date. Lunch as usual. Goes well, when she protested as to her means, I offered to treat "I'll treat on one condition: you agree it's no big deal", done. I pick her up at her place (always good if she's willing since it means you need to bring her back to her place), and we go to a little pub a mile down the road.

Nice lunch. Some good eye contact, rapport establishment, story sharing, occasional kino. The chemistry is on and off but mostly on (and I felt it on and off too; sometimes I wonder why I do this.) After lunch, I am driving back to her house and I mention how she must be close to the river, sure enough she suggests we go see it (her idea). At this point, I think that's a pretty good sign.

On the path on way to the river, I take her hand, because walks in the forest deserve that I think, and when the path narrows, she lets go and we walk single file. She doesn't take it back after. Mixed messages. At the river, I find a big rock and sit, she doesn't, I ask her why, she mentions "ants" and sure enough there are some. OK, I guess that's legit, I stand, we talk a while, it really was a gorgeous day. No touching on the walk back, but as we leave the path and are walking back to the car, she's walking good and close, so I'm thinking, ok messages back on green.

At no point did I suggest continuing the date at this juncture, even if she'd invited me in I would have refused and gone. I walked to my car, she walked with me, I leaned back on my car and pulled her in hip-to-hip. I mentioned that I believe in kissing on first dates (this patter always works but not this time) and she replied, without hesitating, "not me; I believe in delayed gratification". So we did "la bise" and I was off.

Now... mixed chemistry, mixed messages. Normally, no kiss and I would move on. But "delayed gratification" has me confusedly consulting seddit. This is not outright rejection, amirite?

I already sms'd her after lunch as is imho a best practice:

me: "Hey thanks for a fun lunch!" her: Thank you! It was fun :)" me: "It was! And I have good news!" her: "Good news?" me: "Yup! You are officially a "good girl" as opposed to that dirty word you used at lunch. I can make you a sew on badge if you want :)" her: "Nah that's ok. I'm not really worthy of that title but thanks" me: ":) thank goodness cause my sewing skills are really not up to that"

(she had used the word "slut" at lunch and I had called her on it teasingly)

Now what? I figure wait a few days and check in?
