hi im 24 and i just had my first number close ever.

been lurking on here for close to a year, maybe less, and never took the initiative to do anything until a couple of weeks ago. taking better care of myself and all that.

so on tuesdays i usually go to the movies with my friend, but he left for the marines yesterday. so decide to go alone any ways. (btw saw bad grandpa, crazy funny). so movie ends and i decide to walk around the mall. get some starbucks, and happen to set foot into guess for the first time in my life. looking for shoes but no one around to help, only one person work the cash register. so decide to leave. as im walking out i notice the cashier is HB9, and when i catcher glancing over she looks down.

i know the 3 second rule but she is helping some ppl. i go to foot locker but no luck on the shoes. just as im about to leave the mall i decide to go back to guess and see maybe HB9 is free. go back still busy. so i grab a shoe and just approach and ask if i can interrupt, ask for my shoes size, and she says she'll be right with me. so i take a seat. she comes by and says "you better buy the shoes for making her walk back in high heels." she comes back and knees down in front of me to open the box. whole time i keep eye contact. so i do some small talk, "how long have you worked here?", tell her i just got a job, she seems cool. out of nowhere she ask what im doing for halloween, me "nothing planed, you?". HB9 "nothing". i didnt say anything, sort froze up. didnt by the shoes, and as im about to leave, say to myself 'its now or never' so ask her name, mention if she know what her name in spanish, says yeah, its a gem, ask her where she is from, hispanic mix, i say "met too", ask says her age is 18, asked when she turned, says august, another "me too! what date", "25th" me "19", she put out her fist "cool your a virgo" me "nah leo", her "oh we must get along" me thinking 'i dont know', so moment of truth comes, i say ill be back for the shoes and ask her for her number "so we can hang out on halloween" she replies "cool i get out of work at 6", me "ok, bye". i say "btw my name is sofa_king_greatx100."

so this was a big ego boost. dont know why i waited so long to start just approaching women. also to a certain extent i got some inspiration from the movie, bad grandpa, cuz the little kid has some great scenes where hey would just use some lines on women and wold get great response.

TL;DR: first number close ever, on HB9; did things i wouldnt normally do, good results.
