So, there was an event recently with just a campus dance party thing. It was dark, not fancy, not the greatest environment, people weren't expecting total intimacy like in a real dance club. I was there for 1.5 hours. Got there 1.5 hours late.
First, I went in there nervous. I'm not going to hide that. I was nervous as shit. I sat in the back for a bit and just tried to restructure my head. How could I approach with more energy than a dancing girl? How could I compete with super loud music?
Then, I just thought about it. "Man, I don't need a girl to like me to have fun at a dance floor. It's called a dance floor, not a woman floor."
So I let loose. And I don't mean from [not moving] to [rocking back and forth], I mean really just went as nuts as I could. Even in the goddamn back. I was in that area where all the creepy dudes are vulturing the backs of women. It was just me going nuts in that spot.
Some really interesting stuff happened. Mainly the girls. Some will generally gravitate towards you. I don't know if it's conscious or subconscious or who's doing it (pretty sure it was them), but they got closer. I actually moved away because I want some damn room, lol.
The coolest thing was (and obvious in hindsight): girls really do approach you. These were the instances.
-
When I was doing a type of dance, some girl started doing the same type and we were dancing together while people watched in a circle. After it was over, she spanked my ass and was like "you're good".
-
These two girls started grinding me on both sides.
-
This other girl came up close like she was about to grind on me, then gave up, and her friends were like "no no no, go for it!" and she came and grinded. I grabbed her hips, shoved them into mine, and led the pace and her friends were like "woo!".
-
This girl on the sidelines was pointing at me and cheering going "yeah!", so I went over to her, asked who she was, and pulled her up and danced with her for a bit.
-
This girl started slowly dancing towards me mirroring my rhythm. I held my hands out as I touched her wrists, and I think she was implying she was with another guy there or something. Main point is she refused. I didn't pay much mind to it, but she tried to soften the blow (even though there were no hard feelings) with "I've been watching you dance, you're pretty good, you can definitely dance."
-
This girl matched my steps until I noticed and matched hers and then showed me some new dance move or something. I tried it out and didn't really do it as well, so I just laughed and went up to her and was like "I have no idea what you're doing." She laughed and tried again and so on.
-
This made me laugh so hard. This guy starting coming up behind me, and I turned around and looked at him, and he got wide-eyed and pivoted in a completely different direction. Pretty sure he was going to grind on me, thinking I was a girl.
So yeah. I had so much fun. And this was all me NOT trying to get any women.
Here's some summary things I thought of. Not sure how it effects actual approaching and stuff because that's not what goal I had for the night.
•DO NOT STAND AROUND ON THE DANCE FLOOR. It's stupid, people who do it look stupid, you'll feel stupid.
•If you ever need to walk, do it to use the bathroom, get some water, or approach a girl. Never to just circle around looking for stuff.
•If you dance, face lots of directions and use a good amount of room with good amount of movement. I'm not a trained dancer; just someone who knows how to move my body somewhat, so that probably helped some. But, I think you can still draw people in if you are just owning it enough.
•Don't focus in on a single group and dance while staring the whole time. You can look at whoever when you are just moving around. If you stare, go up to them.
