So, I'm normally a guy who does daygame. I've gotten a few hookups from daygame, have never not k-closed a date, doing well for myself there but there's so much room for improvement as I'm a beginner and very aware of that.

Yesterday, I had my first real night game experience. I am on an RSD page for my area and one of the guys messaged me to go out that night. I was totally not down for it, I would have absolutely loved to stay home and play Elder Scrolls Online all night but I was like fuck it, I'll go, pay for a taxi home even though I'm broke because at least I went out, right? So that's what I did, I went out.

Saw the guy there, from the RSD group, first time meeting, we talked about a lot of stuff and since this is my first time night gaming I was pretty scared. I was talking to him about how his nights usually go, etc. and I asked him a pretty specific question, forgot what it was and he just said "let's find out." and the guy approached a 2-set fearlessly and I was like, shit, I'm not even close to the level of approaching without worry but I said fuck it, and I jumped in the set and chatted up the other girl. Actually had great conversation, both of us were laughing, she was 8 years older than me so I made a joke about that and she said that it's perfectly fine and if anything she just doesn't want me to think she's too old, validating herself. In the end I just got her number and I won't be texting her because I'm not attracted to her. That was a good warm up for the start of the night, it really helped to set the mood and we were feeling pretty good, even though I'm now an advocate of only number closing as a last priority during night game, because honestly I don't feel like numbers will go anywhere if you got them during night game. They CAN, but I just see it happening a lot less than if you got a number during daygame.

Anyway, we decided to hit up the very empty dance floor. I told the guy I've never danced before and I'm looking forward to kill it. Super uncomfortable for the first 10 minutes, and then more people joined the floor after we hopped on, I guess people get less nervous when more people do it. I started to dance a little bit more openly. Randomly, a drunk girl comes up to me and starts talking random shit, and then she suddenly says "Teach me how to dance." and I was like, alright let's get it. She was fairly cute, wasn't looking to close in any way, just have fun. I had no fucking clue how to dance, so I grabbed her hands, made her spin while she was drunk and then I spun, did some cliché dance moves that I found funny, we got low, it was really fun for sure but I found myself repeating some moves (anyone got more dance moves for me to add variety?) eventually she started to grind on me, was pretty alright, her friends came, she danced with them, occasionally leaning towards me, noticed she got closer to me sometimes to dance with me so I just pulled her in and we danced. I wanted to makeout with her but I didn't really see an opportunity because even when I put her arms around my neck, she'd stay for a few seconds, hug me or something, and then dance again so I didn't see it. I'm thinking I should have just told her to kiss me, but fuck it I don't care.

Anyway, she left and at this point I thought the night was pretty cool, at this point I was dancing by myself, sober on the floor sometimes because I wasn't really giving a fuck. My friend grabbed a woman that was super old and danced with her, it was hilarious, I ended up dancing with 2 older ladies as well and we just talked about random stuff. She told me she was too old for me, I told her she doesn't look a day over 23, she knew I was kidding and we just danced and talked. Really cool ladies, I'd see them a few times that night and smile at them or have tiny small talk. Another lady, clearly in her 40s, I told her that I think I'm too old for her. We had banter for the rest of the night because she knew I was obviously being sarcastic, and it was a fun little rivalry.

Saw another girl, managed to pull her to the floor, we danced for a few seconds and then she was like "How old are you?!" and I said I'm 20, she told me she was 30 and ran, she was drunk, it was funny.

Another girl came on the floor and we started dancing together out of nowhere, grinding up really close, front to front and after about 10 minutes of dancing she said she'll be back, which usually means "I am not coming back." so I continued to dance, not waiting.

Finally, met another 2-set with my friend, I chatted up one of them, she was really fucking attractive. We talked for about 10 minutes about random shit. Good kino, got to the point where I mentioned how I liked her leather leggings and she was cool with me feeling them up, she mentioned how they're her actual legs and she's bottomless or some shit. She told me she'd meet me on the dance floor later. I don't believe that shit so I just forget about girls after that one. Later that night we made eye contact, we walked towards each other and she said the only way she'd come on the floor with me is if I convinced her friends to come with us. This was bad, I've never opened a 5-set, not even a 3-set, fuck not even a 2-set before this night alone. I went, said a few words and they looked at me, and seemed to give me a slightly dirty look and just turned away. We saw them on the floor eventually but didn't bother opening them, it was a girl night (they had a birthday get together there that night according to the girl I opened) and I didn't feel like it was a good place to interfere with it so we forgot about those ones. So yeah, there was lots of social interaction that night with random people, felt good, getting rejected actually felt like progress, which is great, like I asked a girl if she was challenging me to a dance battle and she just said "No." and that happens occasionally through the night, most girls did reject me but it's all part of the journey and I realize that now.

(Also met a random guy there, very friendly guy with a mindset like my own. Got his number, we're planning on day gaming when there's time.)

So yeah, my new friend invited me to crash at his place if I didn't want to drop a 20 for a taxi, so we spent an hour reflecting on the night, what we could work on, etc.

Overall, it was a good experience and I'm definitely happy that I went out that night rather than not because I feel like that first step will open me up to so much more opportunity, and make the next steps easier to achieve.

The thing that I feel odd about is that when I did day game, I'd get numbers, I'd get dates, I'd be happy because I felt like I developed a connection with these girls, then I'd go on a date with them and I'd really enjoy having them around but as I was doing night game, sure I was having a pretty good time being out but I felt out of place. I felt like all the girls I would talk to, dance with, etc. we didn't have any connection at all, and I think that's the difference for me because I strive for that connection. Even though with some girls we'd both be bursting into laughter, my hand on her waist or something, making jokes, banter, etc. I didn't feel anything of it, I felt like I was forcing myself to do it and it didn't feel right. I felt like I didn't even want to pull or have sex. I don't get the feeling really, but I guess where some guys just want to pull and fuck, then duck I really want to have that connection with a girl and I'm not sure what to do about it. The thing about it also is that some might say that with going out at night some more and pulling, you'll lose that feeling of wanting a connection, but I don't really want to lose it.

So yeah, that's my FR. Thoughts, opinions are very welcome. Also, ways to deal with this weird feeling inside of being completely unsatisfied. (Also, I am COMPLETELY outcome independent when I go to clubs, mainly because I don't have anywhere to pull aside from alleyways, dumpsters, etc. lol)
