I'm a sophomore at University, and for two years, I've been involved in the Ballroom and Swing Dancing organizations on campus. A few weeks ago, we had a few people show up for their first time, and they were giddy and confused as to be expected with new dancers. There was this girl among them, we'll call her H.

So H showed up consistently every week, and she and I danced together a few times, and I find myself attracted to her. So I told her on Thursday, and said "I'm getting coffee at 6. I think you should join me. Give me your number and I'll swing by your dorm at quarter till." And she responded very well, put her number in my phone, and stuck by me dancing the rest of the night. We went out and got coffee later that night, I dropped her off at her class, and asked her about dinner the next night with the same attitude ("Have you been downtown? No? There's this bar and grill that's really good. If you're free, I'll pick you up at 6.").

So the next night (last night), I pick her up, and immediately jump to holding her hand. I just did it. And she said "Oh my god your hands are freezing", and I responded "It's because I'm so cool, right?" And that made her laugh. We had dinner, went back to my place to watch a movie. Turns out we both love the same movies. Anyway, the fire alarm went off (communal housing blows), so we both got dressed and went outside to wait for the fire department to come and make sure everything was fine. We're out there and it's 50 out (NE seaboard United States gets really cold around this time). And she hugs me "for warmth", and we're laughing, and I just said "look at me... now close your eyes." And I kissed her. So we kissed out there, went back inside, and I had sex for the first time.

This morning we both had work to do (being in difficult programs at the university), but I'm taking her out for gelato later tonight. How'd I do?
