Because girls in relationships are responding well. This is a two part field report because it involves two different girls between the time span of two days. Both of these involve girls with boyfriends.
Over the last two weeks, I have eased into the college lifestyle. My objectives have been simple:
- Start to rid myself of approach anxiety
- Leave a lasting impression on any person I have a wholehearted conversation with
- And finally, increase my social network
Over the course of the last two weeks, I can honestly say that all of these have been achieved. I find myself not really worrying about failing that often. I would like to say that I am working on my game one section at a time. I am having people initiate conversations with me even when I only talked to them once. It has come down to the point where I am having trouble remembering names, but they almost always remember mine.
Anyway, here is the Field report:
I am sitting in my second class of the day (~10AM) and invite a HB8/9 with a killer personality out to lunch; we will call her "G". G declines because she says that she has already made a promise to go to lunch her dorm mates ( two twin cheerleaders HB8s) who a few days ago invited me to watch some Ashton Kutcher( movie with them as I was hanging out with G. She invites me to a study session later that night because we have a test later in the week.
I keep my texting to a minimum until around 9:30PM when she texts me to come over. I head over to her dorm because it is like 200 meters from mine. Get inside the building and we end up studying in the student hall on her floor. We side track a little and find out we have very similar interests. There is some kino (kicking each other under the table, examining her jewlery, and playful hits if I remember correctly) IOI, and a few little negs; I even tell her two feminist jokes (related to what we were studying) at which she laughs but tells me they are jokes I should be telling my guy friends.
You see she is in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend of three years from Scotland. (We live in Florida). I’ve known she has had a boyfriend, but I try to not let it faze me. We start talking about that and I make the mistake of saying that most LDR don’t work. She explains that she has been getting that response for the last three years. Anyway, the night ends around 11 and I walk her back to her dorm room while socializing with one of her neighbors. A hug and then we depart.
TL;DR: HB8/9 declines a lunch date, but asks for a study session later in the day instead. There is definitely IOIs from her. Plot twist: She has a LDR with a guy from Scotland (we are from Florida) that has been going on for the last three years. Socialization skills shine in conversation with her dorm neighbor. We end up hugging and I walk back to my dorm.
How should I be approaching this situation? Before learning PU, I would have never tried to be a "home wrecker", but now I feel I should be thinking about myself rather than some other guy. We have hung out a few times; I escalate, but I really need some advice on not going too far or pressuring her and having her run away figuratively.
Finally, I'm not sure if I want to be in a relationship after just being introduced into college, but I want to be able to have the option of it if it comes down to it.
