Hey Seddit, thought I'd share this FR in hopes of hearing where I could've gone wrong to try and seal the F-close.

I'm out for a colleague's leaving do and everyone's having a great time, national team winning the football(soccer) game and many drinks had.

Near closing time another colleague (who is local and knowledgable of the area we're in) suggests a night club nearby to me and friends. So with my friends and a few work mates, including said informant, we head to the place with high expectations being set.

It definitely wasn't all that but we decided to have fun anyway. Me and a few others decide that a friend needs to kill his dry spell and therefore start getting into some girls. Since he'd been out it so long he was very hesitant and clueless so I stepped up, asked which girls he'd want at the table, and then proceed to invite them over.

After several minutes of learning about them and them about me, I swayed them to the table, informing my friend where he should be sitting (in the middle of the 2 so he can choose easily). He proceeds to interact but very forwardly and, although I believe his choice was there for the taking, he hesitated to make the final move and backed off.

So they left for a good while. After 10 mins we obviously concluded that they had simply pissed off. Then, as I'm looking for others to bring over, they return. Friend's choice plants herself directly opposite me, with her pal to my right. She gets very forward and I immediately notice her interest but my friend's interests came first. I approached him, told him the scenario and he instantly returned with "Mate I'm too drunk for this, just go for it:". After verifying several times i decide to pursue, somehow ending up in a stating contest with her. During this her friend mentioned how she(the starer) wanted me to kiss her and wants it to be spontaneous; and also queried about my best mate who was also with us. It was clear that the pal wanted mine but I had to tell her that he had a girlfriend whom he is very devoted to.

But once learning of the starer's goals I took it upon myself to use this staring match to get closer, urging her to do the same. At point we touched noses and I said "You know I'm going to kiss you" and she shook her head. But with persistence, one of those nose touched transformed into a kiss. And so began the many makeouts.

After obtaining her # I tried to figure out what she wanted; a date, one night stand, FWB etc. but she gave no idea. She made it clear "no dates" so I replied with "me too" and made out. Rinse, repeat until she realised that it was sex on the table. But her attention was now elsewhere, her friend was still flirting with my taken friend which ends in her bitter disappointment. Despite my friend's attempt to keep her away, she just got in the way because her friend had a chance and she did not. The rest of this night follows this pattern until home time where I wait with the girls to get them a taxi. When I try to speak to my girl privately asking "so do you want me to text, phone? Or should we just call it here?". She gave little response to which I declared not worth chasing and walked away.

All I've done is text "you know I'm going to call sometime tomorrow. What it's for is for you to decide". I do intend to call in the morning but only once, and just once. What I ask is, could I have secured the F-close? and overall, any tips/criticism.
