Hey guys, I've been lurking here for a while and just created my first account. I'm mostly interested in day game. BTW I'm naturally introverted and used to have social anxiety to the point I would wear a hood in hot sunshine to keep myself 'hidden'.

So this was my first approach, I'm proud of it not because it went well (it went horrible) but because I actually fucking did it.

I go on a bus, it's commonplace where I live unlike the US, and spot a good looking girl but we don't make eye contact. Lesson to learn: I still need to work on eye contact, I don't 'seek' it enough and I'm often the first to break it. I sit behind her and I notice she starts flicking her hair back and glances at me over her shoulder. I stand up and sit right next to her.

Me: You look familiar, have we met before? Her: What? (She starts taking off her earphone which I didn't notice) Me: You look familiar, have we met before? Her: What? Me: You look familiar, have we met before? Her: Ohhh, no.

Lesson to learn: I learnt two things from this, I need to work on projecting my voice better and don't let the first thing you say be a question; she's bound to say 'what' even if she heard you perfectly. Just start the conversation with a 'Hi' or the more polite 'Excuse me' and then you can ask a question.

Me: Okay, I just saw you and I thought we met somewhere. What's your name? Her: (name) Me: I'm Max. (we weakly shake hands)

Lesson to learn: Women give handshakes more rarely than men and so they often go in with just their fingers like a beak. I need to remember to put the effort in for a proper handshake, though obviously not aggressive.

Here I crapped myself. Her not hearing me at first really cut my flow and I started to be conscious of all the other people on the bus, listening to my awkward conversation - it's irrational I know. I stood up and left on the next bus stop. Looking back all I had to say was 'How did your day go?" and that would have carried on the conversation.

Lesson to learn: You need to show confidence to her to make her comfortable with talking to you. I need to fail some more!

Any more advice would be appreciated. I often see girls in pairs, any advice on approaching them?
