sounds like the interaction went as best as it could, she just was not into it. Next is right. I like your comment on others not noticing - my number one anxiety about the bus is other people stalking my approach. No idea why I even care in the first place.

The only thing I would watch is your body language and placement on the bus. It is a prime zone to block her in (2 seats oriented forward with her by the window) and that will set off many panic alarms for a girl, especially from a cold approach.

I like the attitude. But from your first FR, I think this quote "When I finish I find her and tell her, "Well you seem cool let's get coffee sometime, what's your #?"" is where you went wrong. If you can remember, did it seem at all forced or desperate? Like she could tell you were planning on finding her again the whole time? Because it might give away a different attitude than the one you were having before (not caring). It's incongruent.
