Hard to say without meeting the girl in person since this is a pretty specific FR as it is--reading through the past two FRs related to this one, chick seems very aggressive. It's possible that she was turned off (or hurt) by the fact that you let her do all the work for the night. If something ain't broke, why'd you try and fix it?

Now that I think about it, it seems even more likely--she was doing all the work and was SUPER aggressive when before you were doing most of the offensive work. The role changed, and now everyone was staring at you two. I'm sure it was obvious that she was the aggressor, and if it wasn't, she was definitely aware of it regardless and probably felt embarrassed, bad, turned off, whatever. Your bare-bones text of "get home safe, had fun", which is frankly devoid of any real sentiment or personality, probably exacerbated the problem.

From here on out I'd call her and be very warm for the third date, and assume the role you had before--fiery redhead wants a fiery man to take control.

That's exactly what your girl was. With girls chasing you that hard and putting in so much work to show you that they're aching for you to push them up against the wall, they likewise have a tendency to become pissed off and bitchy when they feel that they're not getting what they want, and that they are investing way more into it than you, in addition to reacting that way to dudes who fail to read the signals that it's time to progress things towards sex.

"Push-pull", eh? It doesn't work the way you write it here. You only had to pull her that night to lay her that night. Instead you pushed her away a few times and made her frustrated and she walked home. Never push a girl who's chasing you that way, because that's punishing good behaviour, and that's a mistake.

Sounds like you hadn't planned things out from the very start with closing in mind. You should have thought in terms of closing logistics from the very start and brought her to a place near you, from where YOU could take HER home and from where you'd be way more in control, because you had thought it out in advance.

Where to take things now? I'd suggest you just invite her over for "dinner/a movie" next time so she knows that now you actually mean business.
