I meant for this to be a quick overview of our night but it turned into a full field report by the time I finished. I probably should have included a little more detail so feel free to ask or critique if you feel so inclined.

CaptainKirk (CK), theKount (TK) and myself met up in Huntington Friday for the usual lulz. I started out at TK's before rolling to Hurricane's (I think). TK and I immediately run into CaptainKirk before heading to the bathroom (probably due to too much pre gaming) and scoping the place out. We quickly find two very attractive blondes we note to talk to at some point in the relatively near future.

I leave the bathroom and head back toward CaptainKirk and rather conveniently find him in set with the two blondes we just spotted. I walk over and introduce myself to the girl CK isn't chatting up and we end up in set for a solid 20 minutes. TheKount enters the set at some point during that time and it's pretty clear the girl I'm talking to is into him. We're all having good conversation and I start to back off a little and scan for other girls. TK takes over perfectly and straight kills it as you'll see.

At this point we've found out the girls are kind of new to town and aren't meeting anyone else out so it's pretty much our set for the night (seriously, I spent about 5 minutes total talking to CaptainKirk over the entire night lol). We grab drinks and bounce the girls outside to a table. I'm used to rolling with dudes or girls I'm already sleeping with so I was definitely enjoying having a little social proof being with what looked like two couples.

Note: You know CK and TK are doing damn good in set when anyone that didn't know us would have assumed the 2 of them were with these 2 girls.

While we are at the table theKount gets approached a lovely young lass (LYL) who needs a light. I've started chatting up the dudes at the table behind us and I catch this girl (LYL) making eye contact with me with a smile. She turns and sits back down with a group of 4 other girls, including the girl she sits next to who is pretty damn hot (we'll call her Hottie).

I tap theKount on the shoulder and interrupt his conversation with his lady and point out the hottie sitting across the way. "I need to meet her" "Who? "That one."

Note: What I did here is not a good way to put your wing on the spot. More often than not it'll make him look bad for having trashy friends and if your wing isn't smooth he's just going to dig himself a deeper hole.

However, theKount isn't just any wing. He's a damn good wing. And damn good wings can take the situation above and turn it into a MONSTER DHV. TheKount and I are on exactly the same page when I do this and his response is:

"Her? Alright. Let's do this." (his girl is looking at us incredulously but clearly wants to see what's about to happen.

TheKount turns around to the 5-set of girls, totally ignores 3 of them and opens the Hottie with "Hey, have you met my friend Kumar?"

Hottie glances at theKount, glances at me and gives us the most hateful look ever (she had the hot bitchy look going on perfectly). I plow with "Have you seen How I Met Your Mother? You know, 'Have ya met Ted?'".

Hottie is not amused. At all. Luckily, LYL, her friend, is sitting right behind her and chimes in with something about how she loves that show. TheKount turns around and goes back to speaking with the blonde who is rather impressed with him lol (you're welcome, bro).

I continue chatting up LYL from across the table until Hottie gets up and walks around, leaving me her seat next to LYL. The other 4 girls ignore the 2 of us for probably 20 minutes and I get a solid number (date planned, constant texting since). If I remember correctly she's a redditor but didn't sound like she frequented the site too often. Great taste in TV among other things.

CK and TK walk their ladies home (I'll let them fill in those details if they like) and I cab it back to my place.

I would say overall this is a great example of winging done right on everyone's part. CaptainKirk has only met theKount and myself once before for a 10 minutes conversation in a nosy bar. We had no back story to how we knew each other, no plan for the night, no reason for being out and we spoke to each other for less than 5 minutes total on this night (CK and myself). Despite all of that we managed to hook and entertain probably the hottest 2 set in the bar while hooking TK up (I know he was at least making out with her on the dance floor). TK in turn hooked me up and the 3 of us all ended up with girls we liked. The girls had a great time (mine wanted to meet the other two) and the 3 of us had a boss night.

Update

We spent July 4th with the two set, hit a bunch of house parties and the like. TK looks to be in pretty good, CK and I have new friends and great social proof (the entire group helped me close another girl I brought out that day, it's nice having friends :-D). And I'll be seeing LYL this weekend.

Life is good.
