I'm looking at the front page of /r/seduction right now. Lemme nitpick...

How to make a girl laugh: A video on how to make a girl laugh using a routine rather than using your own genuine intelligence, humor, & charisma. It's a fun placebo, but if you're not actually a fun guy to begin with, you'll lose steam quickly.

What are some good negs about height differences?: Wait, he's 9 inches taller than this girl, and he wants to think of negs to use on her? He's being silly. He doesn't need negs!

If you don't sarge, you'll never improve: Generally good advice to talk to women all the time, but it's implied that cold approach pickup is the only way forward. There are plenty of other ways to get better without necessarily having to talk to a barrage of strangers. There are ways of socially networking or joining clubs that would make things smoother and easier for novices.

Now, this is just a few posts, but every time I look at Seddit, it feels like the same posts keep coming up over and over again. "I need help with this one girl." "Here's the trick to being confident." "OMG I made out with a girl in a club." It's helpful for a lot of guys, but after a while, it feels like it's stuck in a loop.

To add to what Tofu said. There is a pretty big jump from regurgitating what has worked before and charging new territory.

Most of ground breaking stuff aren't things i can TELL you. It's about learning to be comfortable enough with yourself to try challenge a girl to hand stand contest or play the penis game in a Ritz Carlton hotel bar.

There really hasn't been any new advice or breakthroughs in this community for 5 years. If you really pay attention. EVERYTHING is rehashed, repackaged, and sold right back to you.

Truly the only "original" stuff is routines like the "How to make a girl laugh" bit. I thought that was inspired. We can make 3 posts a week about how to improve inner game and define self confidance and fun date ideas, but everyone would get bored of that quickly.

By it's nature, this is a very stagnant field. We have essentially hit a wall with our analysis of social dyanmics. We've studied it and picked it a part and know all the angles and in's and out's. There is literally no where else to go.

So we make lateral posts. Fun routines to break up monotany, talking points and jokes. FR to keep guys excited about the possibilities of the next great hook up.

It feels like we are stuck in a loop because we are. And that's not a bad thing. Progression for progressions sake is pointless masturbation.

Enjoy the mountain we've built, focus on carving a home into it instead of trying to find a bigger one to climb.

From PUAHate I learned

Tyler Durden, master PUA, made students PAY to show up to his birthday party, and there were no women there. Not even for Tyler.
That after a Real Social Dynamics student wrote a review of a bootcamp expressing his disappointment with it, they posted pictures of him, mocked the way he looked, called him an albino. Tyler later deleted the review, so that only positive reviews remain. I actually read the thread moments before Tyler deleted it. I refreshed to see if there were any more replies, and it was gone.
That Alan Roger Currie is a nutcase, and the hundreds of weird creepy posts he made there under his real name, and troll accounts will haunt him forever. I thought twice about buying his book. No-one needs to model that shit.
That the entire time Casanova Crew were criticizing this guru and that guru, they were charging people thousands for bootcamps with other gurus. Their leader J The Ripper, the guy who wrote all these extravagant lay reports that you've seen around the forum, trolls PUAhate badly, and works selling watches at a market stall. Not exactly a DHV for grown women, but a great place for a 30 something man to meet jailbait. He also tried to sell UNPROVEN pills that he claimed could cure approach anxiety. Last time I checked he sells watches, and is not a doctor.
That Mystery and Venusian Arts have a backlog of people demanding refunds, and they have threatened at least one student with violence, intimidation of his family and friends if he doesn't continue to pay. He eventually got them to agree to a partial refund, which they now refuse to pay.
That DJ Fuji threatens the owner of PUAhate with legal action if any of their users show pictures of his girlfriend which he himself put online.

That's just some of what I've learned there. Reading it hasn't negatively affected my interactions with women. I still have fun with girls. You won't turn into a virgin reading PUAhate - why would you? But you just might develop a sense of humor, and a bit of perspective about just how "masterful" these mPUAs actually are.

Exactly. You wouldn't get snake oil salesmen if there weren't already a willing crowd of people who were open to believe in it, spreading the word to their friend about "this method", and "this guru". Those very people might say "Sure, there are some bad apples out there", but by even spreading that gurus teachings you're legitimizing somebody who shouldn't be legitimized.

It's like when religious people distance themselves from religious fundamentalism by saying "Well, they're bad apples. We're different", but they don't realize that fundamentalism grows out of moderate religion. It would be very hard, if not impossible for an extremist religion to start up from scratch. Nearly all extremism and cultish scams branch off from some other form of bullshit.

Likewise, it would be next to impossible for a guru to scam people into taking his bootcamps if there wasn't already a group of people already spreading the word about his methods, and teachings.
